Wavemaker Hospitality, the leading hotel company in Cyprus and Greece, is expanding its operations. We are looking for experienced and talented individuals as Pastry Cooks to join the award-winning 5* Mare Paphos in Cyprus for the season 2026.
Responsibilities
- Follow and execute pastry recipes accurately,
- Work on the presentation of pastries, paying attention to the visual appeal of the final product.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Pastry Chef to create and update dessert menus, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Ensure the pastry section adheres to all safety and health regulations
- Identify staffing needs, and train new pastry assistants and bakers when necessary
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
- Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, or relevant field
- Strong sense of culinary creativity with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles and food preparation standards
- Familiarity with a range of baking and other kitchen equipment
- Excellent communication skills and an enthusiasm for teamwork
