We are currently looking for a Hotel Chief Engineer for Paphos Area

Position Summary

The Hotel Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of all building systems, facilities, equipment, and infrastructure while maintaining high guest satisfaction and compliance with safety regulations and brand standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Maintenance Operations

  • Direct and supervise all maintenance and engineering activities across the hotels.
  • Ensure proper functioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, kitchen, laundry, pools, elevators, and fire/life safety systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Respond quickly to emergency repair needs and operational disruptions.
  • Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
  • Oversee all hotel and restaurants renovation projects ensuring they are delivered on time and to scope

Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate the engineering and maintenance team.
  • Ensure staff compliance with safety procedures and operational standards.
  • Coordinate with department heads to support daily operations and guest service needs.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Budget & Asset Management

  • Prepare and manage the engineering department budget.
  • Control maintenance costs while maintaining service quality.
  • Source and manage contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Oversee inventory of tools, spare parts, and engineering supplies.
  • Plan and execute capital improvement projects and renovation

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of engineering experience in hospitality, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel building systems and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with CMMS/property maintenance systems.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    For the 2026 season, we seek experienced and talented individuals to join the award-winning Atlantica Hotels & Resorts in Rhodes island as Cooks A in the a la carte restaurants.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following specified recipes and portion sizes.
    • Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized, and that food safety standards are maintained.
    • Work closely with the culinary team to ensure a smooth workflow
    • Bring creativity to the kitchen by suggesting new dishes or improvements to existing ones
    • Assist with the training and development of junior kitchen staff. Guide to enhance their skills, ensuring a cohesive and high-performing workforce.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and customer preferences to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
    • Follow health and safety regulations and guidelines for food preparation and handling

    Requirements

    • Culinary diploma
    • 2+ years of experience as a Cook A' in a relevant fine dining restaurant
    • In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques and ingredients
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
