We are currently looking for a Hotel Chief Engineer for Paphos Area
Position Summary
The Hotel Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of all building systems, facilities, equipment, and infrastructure while maintaining high guest satisfaction and compliance with safety regulations and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Maintenance Operations
- Direct and supervise all maintenance and engineering activities across the hotels.
- Ensure proper functioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, kitchen, laundry, pools, elevators, and fire/life safety systems.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Respond quickly to emergency repair needs and operational disruptions.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
- Oversee all hotel and restaurants renovation projects ensuring they are delivered on time and to scope
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate the engineering and maintenance team.
- Ensure staff compliance with safety procedures and operational standards.
- Coordinate with department heads to support daily operations and guest service needs.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Budget & Asset Management
- Prepare and manage the engineering department budget.
- Control maintenance costs while maintaining service quality.
- Source and manage contractors, vendors, and service providers.
- Oversee inventory of tools, spare parts, and engineering supplies.
- Plan and execute capital improvement projects and renovation

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5–10 years of engineering experience in hospitality, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of hotel building systems and preventive maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with CMMS/property maintenance systems.
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
