The selected applicant will be responsible for supporting tax compliance and advisory work under the close supervision of senior staff. They will collaborate with the taxation and financial departments to meet client needs in areas such as direct and indirect taxation, tax planning, and communication with tax authorities. The successful candidates will prepare tax computations and returns, engage in tax-related research, and assist in advisory projects. A Tax Consultant will be expected to manage multiple engagements effectively through proper planning and time management, ensuring work is completed within deadlines and budget.  Qualifications / Skills

Job Description

  • Reporting directly to the Audit Supervisor/Manager
  • Initiate and complete audit procedures of medium and large size companies according to applicable standards and regulations
  • Preparation of audited financial statements and Income Tax Return of medium and large size companies as per statutory requirements and legislation
  • Cooperation with the financial and tax department in resolving issues raised for meeting clients’ needs.
  • Direct communication with clients and relevant authorities
  • Maintain good relations/ deploy strong communication skills with subordinates, business associates and authorities during execution of duties
  • Provide on the job training to subordinates to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in completing audit engagement
  • Complete multiple client engagements through proper planning, priority setting, time management and within the set budgets and deadlines
  • Able to attend client meetings with the line Supervisor / Manager / Senior Manager and be able to follow agenda prepared by Manager to fulfill client needs
  • Stay updated in the following areas (either through day-to-day assignments or though continued study):
    • Audit Standards
    • IFRS standards
    • Company Law

Entry Requirements:

  • BSc Economics/Mathematics/Statistics/Accounting and Finance, or any other related field.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Acquire knowledge of different kind of exotic financial instruments including over-the counter (“OTC”) products.
  • Operate in backroom trades settlement and gain experience in different kinds of financial products. 
  • After the training period they will be able to resolve settlement breaks.
  • Liaising with prime brokers, administrators and counterparties.
  • Review and confirm the net asset value ("NAV") numbers prepared by fund administrator for all funds.
  • Send and verify performance numbers which are updated in various data providers' databases.
  • Upload daily trade files into the portfolio management system (Key manually in case of non-automated trades).
  • Setting up instruments in Portfolio Management system, booking of complex trades and corporate actions.
  • Comfortable with manual processes and able to improvise with automation.

  • Provide support in reconciling and monitoring daily activity.
  • Maintain cash projection for all our mutual/hedge funds.

 Qualifications:

Job vacancy: Transfer Pricing Consultant

As our firm continues to grow, we are expanding our Transfer Pricing team within the Tax Department.

As a Transfer Pricing Consultant, you will be able to identify controlled transactions between related parties, partner with multiple stakeholders to provide support on transfer pricing-related issues, perform functional, economic, and benchmarking analysis and reporting for various transactions, prepare and maintain TP records and prepare reports and presentations based on the findings.

We are looking for candidates with up to 4 years of relevant experience to join us in our Nicosia or Limassol offices.

The Role!

As a Transfer Pricing Consultant, you will be:

  • Involved in the Company’s Transfer Pricing projects.
  • Perform functional, economic, and benchmarking analyses for various transactions with related parties.
  • Preparation of reports and presentations based on the findings and work carried out..
  • Managing and preparing Transfer Pricing documentation to support intra-group transactions in compliance with local regulations.
  •  Develop an understanding of complex Transfer Pricing concepts and effectively apply economic and financial knowledge to client situations.
  • Assist with application for and negotiation of rulings and Advanced Pricing Agreements (APAs) where clients would like up-front certainty on Transfer Pricing positions.
  •  Support Transfer Pricing audits, including responding to tax authorities on matters or queries relating to Transfer Pricing.
  • Identify Transfer Pricing Opportunities within the organization.
  • Stay up to date and be able to share the updates within the team regarding new Transfer Pricing updates.
  • Develop new initiatives and functions that support the Transfer Pricing practice.
  • Conduct regular internal reviews of Transfer Pricing policies in accordance with the latest tax regulation developments.
