INFORMATION SECURITY ADVISOR

K. Treppides & Co Ltd, is looking for an Information Security Advisor, to join our office in Nicosia.

As an Information Security Consultant, you will guide our clients through governance, risks, and compliance (GRC) complexities. Your role will involve assessing and managing risks, recommending risk-mitigating actions, developing security strategies, and ensuring clients' IT environments align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • BSc in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in information security consulting, risk management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with information security frameworks and
    compliance regulations.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with identifying, assessing and testing risks,
    and controls.
  • Strong understanding of and experience with process improvement and process
    mapping as well as creating complex process flows with control points.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CDPSE, CISSP, will be
    considered as an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at both business and deep technical levels.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute assessments in the areas of IT Governance (ISO 27001, NIST), IT
    Regulatory Compliance (EBA, DORA, EIOPA, GDPR, etc.), IT Risk Assessments
    and IT Audits.
  • Evaluate Information Security controls (e.g. identify and assess IT risks and controls)
  • Provide consultation on information security controls and compliance measures.
  • Develop customized security policies and frameworks for clients, based on standards
    such as ISO 27001.
  • Assist clients in managing and mitigating risks associated with their IT operations.
  • Catalogue, test and monitor controls.
  • Create and perform gap analysis as well as provide strategy to implement and mitigate
    identified risks.
  • Define business architecture and functional design.
  • Manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance.
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Conduct functional walk-throughs with various stakeholders.
  • Analyze system impacts to other systems and procedures.
  • Participate in training personnel on enhancements, and new systems or procedures.
  • Creating executive reporting and strategy documents.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in IT security, regulations, and best practices.

INTERNAL AML & COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT

Nicosia

K. Treppides & Co Ltd, the Largest Independent Consultant Cyprus based International Firm is currently hiring for a Compliance Assistant to join our Internal AML Compliance Department in Nicosia. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performance of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Client Due Diligence (CDD) Procedures
  • Ensure that adequate customer KYC/AML records are maintained 
  • Prepare and maintain internal reports for all reviewed customers performing risk assessment
  • Screening all clients (PEP database, sanction lists etc.) and assessing potential results
  • Review and advise on the regulatory compliance implications of internal policies and procedures
  • Monitoring the activities of the company for adherence to the AML Directive and other relevant Laws and reporting to the Compliance Officer
  • Responsible for administrating the company’s Internal Control Management system
  • Liaising with all the firm’s departments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
  • Developing compliance training materials

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Law from a reputable university
  • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association
  • 1-2 years of relevant working experience in the AML/KYC/Compliance field
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek language
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal
  • Excellent Command of Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Excellent reading and understanding of the EU and National legislation regarding AML/CFT, sanctions etc.

What to Expect in your Role:

Depending on your knowledge, experience, and skills, you will provide support in areas such as:

  • International Licensing & Authorization: Provide consultancy support to regulated entities (e.g., Investment Firms, EMIs, PSPs, Funds, Gaming Licensees) throughout the licensing process, ensuring a strong understanding of business setup and effective communication with regulatory authorities (e.g., CySEC, CBC, FCA, MGA, MFSA, FSC).
  • Regulatory Compliance & Advisory: Assist clients in navigating legal and regulatory requirements by offering advisory services, including drafting policies, responding to regulatory inquiries, conducting compliance audits, and engaging with regulators and key stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Collaborate with clients to analyze, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and strategic risks.
