The selected applicant will be responsible for supporting tax compliance and advisory work under the close supervision of senior staff. They will collaborate with the taxation and financial departments to meet client needs in areas such as direct and indirect taxation, tax planning, and communication with tax authorities. The successful candidates will prepare tax computations and returns, engage in tax-related research, and assist in advisory projects. A Tax Consultant will be expected to manage multiple engagements effectively through proper planning and time management, ensuring work is completed within deadlines and budget. They will also maintain communication with clients and authorities, perform other job-related duties as assigned, and uphold high professional standards and strict client confidentiality.

 Qualifications / Skills

  • BSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field

INTERNAL AML & COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT

Nicosia

K. Treppides & Co Ltd, the Largest Independent Consultant Cyprus based International Firm is currently hiring for a Compliance Assistant to join our Internal AML Compliance Department in Nicosia. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performance of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Client Due Diligence (CDD) Procedures
  • Ensure that adequate customer KYC/AML records are maintained 
  • Prepare and maintain internal reports for all reviewed customers performing risk assessment
  • Screening all clients (PEP database, sanction lists etc.) and assessing potential results
  • Review and advise on the regulatory compliance implications of internal policies and procedures
  • Monitoring the activities of the company for adherence to the AML Directive and other relevant Laws and reporting to the Compliance Officer
  • Responsible for administrating the company’s Internal Control Management system
  • Liaising with all the firm’s departments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
  • Developing compliance training materials

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Law from a reputable university
  • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association
  • 1-2 years of relevant working experience in the AML/KYC/Compliance field
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek language
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal
  • Excellent Command of Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Excellent reading and understanding of the EU and National legislation regarding AML/CFT, sanctions etc.

JUNIOR TAX CONSULTANT

This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking to develop and bring their careers to the next level by becoming TP tax professionals within a leading and well-known firm. The successfully placed candidate will be able to identify controlled transactions between related parties, partner with multiple stakeholders to provide support on transfer pricing-related issues, perform functional, economic, and benchmarking analysis and reporting for various transactions, prepare and maintain TP records and prepare reports and presentations based on the findings.

Entry Requirements:

FUNDS SERVICES OFFICER

Entry Requirements:

  • BSc Economics/Mathematics/Statistics/Accounting and Finance, or any other related field.
  • Excellent analytical and written communication skills in both Greek and English languages.
  • IT literate. 

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Acquire knowledge of different kind of exotic financial instruments including over-the counter (“OTC”) products.
  • Operate in backroom trades settlement and gain experience in different kinds of financial products. 
  • After the training period they will be able to resolve settlement breaks.
  • Liaising with prime brokers, administrators and counterparties.
  • Review and confirm the net asset value ("NAV") numbers prepared by fund administrator for all funds.
  • Send and verify performance numbers which are updated in various data providers' databases.
  • Upload daily trade files into the portfolio management system (Key manually in case of non-automated trades).
  • Setting up instruments in Portfolio Management system, booking of complex trades and corporate actions.
  • Comfortable with manual processes and able to improvise with automation.
  • Support the entire audit process for the various funds.
  • Provide support in reconciling and monitoring daily activity.
  • Maintain cash projection for all our mutual/hedge funds.
  • The successful candidate will have the option to participate to the ACCA trainee program of our firm
