Position: Internal Audit Supervisor

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Internal Audit Supervisor to join our expanding Internal Audit and Consulting department. The successful candidate will oversee outsourced internal audit services for a variety of clients, particularly Investment Firms, Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs), Payment Service Providers (PSPs), and Gaming Companies. This role is ideal for a professional with at least 4 years of experience, looking to step into a supervisory position with increased responsibilities and the opportunity to shape audit strategies and client engagements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Law from a reputable university
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field is considered an advantage
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in internal audit, with significant exposure to Investment Firms, Financial Institutions, or Gaming Companies
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or CISA will be considered a strong advantage
- Excellent command of the English and Greek languages, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in audit software and advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and supervise junior staff
- Excellent reporting, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead internal audit assignments, overseeing the full audit cycle including risk management, control management, and the assessment of financial reliability
- Supervise junior internal audit consultants and provide guidance and mentorship throughout audit engagements
- Review audit work and reports prepared by junior staff to ensure quality and compliance with internal audit standards and regulatory requirements
- Assist with the planning and execution of internal audits for more complex or high-risk areas, ensuring strategic objectives are met
- Provide high-level consultancy support to clients, particularly in the Investment Firms, EMIs, PSPs, and Gaming industries, regarding internal audit processes and regulatory requirements
- Act as a key point of contact for Regulatory Bodies, Compliance Officers, and Risk Management Departments, ensuring open communication and compliance with regulations
- Participate in audit-related consulting engagements, compliance reviews, and operational assessments for Financial Institutions and Gaming Companies
- Identify areas for process improvements and provide strategic recommendations to clients on enhancing internal controls and operational efficiency
- Handle complex compliance requests, client complaints, and inquiries from regulatory authorities in a professional and timely manner
- Ensure that clients’ reporting obligations are met, and that all audit activities align with industry best practices and the latest regulatory guidelines
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal audit methodologies, tools, and techniques to improve efficiency and effectiveness of audit engagements
