Controller
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and organized Controller to oversee and coordinate daily transportation operations. The successful candidate will ensure smooth and efficient service delivery through real-time monitoring, effective communication with drivers, prompt incident management, and adherence to company policies and standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining service quality, optimizing performance, and fostering a positive, motivated work environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Continuously monitoring transportation operations and promptly addressing and resolving any incidents, issues, or changes that may arise during services.
· Collaborating with drivers and other stakeholders to ensure services align with planned schedules and minimize any service disruptions.
· Receiving, collecting, and processing information regarding incidents, problems, and changes in daily transport services.
· Liaising with drivers in real-time to provide guidance and support during incidents while prioritizing safety.
· Ensuring drivers are fully informed about their assigned services and any relevant operational information.
· Utilizing tracking systems and other technological tools to monitor and optimize transportation operations.
· Identifying patterns and trends in incidents to improve service levels over time.
· Ensuring the quality of transport services, including frequency, timetables, and expeditions, and work to minimize delays in daily services.
· Building and maintaining a positive relationship with drivers, fostering a motivated work environment and facilitating the exchange of operational information.
· Handling all calls and incidents to ensure accurate incident registration and resolution.
· Ensuring adherence to security policies, risk prevention measures, data protection, quality standards, and environmental policies in the role's scope.
· Cooperating with the Control Room Manager in various tasks as required.
Qualifications and Skills
· Secondary education diploma required; relevant experience in a similar role will be considered an advantage.
· Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and verbal.
· Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, real-time environment.
· Proficient in tracking systems, technology tools, and Microsoft Office.
· Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to remain calm and make sound judgments under pressure.
· Positive and proactive attitude with a focus on solutions.
· Willingness to work on shifts basis.
