Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on hardware systems on board the fleet.
  • Repair hardware components from on-board fleet management systems.
  • Be fully knowledgeable about the installation schematic of IT information systems and telematics for each vehicle model in the fleet as well as the applicable installation guidelines and agreed policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support for other digital signage systems operated by the company as required.
  • Perform installation of IT information systems and telematics on new buses added to the fleet.
  • Collaborate with engineering department to ensure systems are installed according to document safety and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering department to ensure they are aware of the installation schematic of IT information systems on board the fleet and to ensure the systems are operational before buses are put back into service.
  • Be aware of and follow agreed installation guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to address cross-functional technical issues. Coordinate with external vendors for support when required.

Requirements: 

  • Certification or diploma in Information Technology.
  • Certifications related to automotive electronics, telematics, or vehicle networks would be considered an asset.
  • Previous experience working as a hardware technician or in a similar role would be considered an asset.
  • Attention to Detail – Ability to perform precise work, ensuring accuracy in installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Compliance – Understanding of industry regulations and standards to maintain system integrity and operational safety.
  • Problem Analysis – Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.

Technical Knowledge:

  •  Telematics Systems – Knowledge of GPS, GSM, cellular networks, and satellite communications used in vehicles for tracking, remote diagnostics, and data transmission.
  • Automotive Electronics – Familiarity with electronic components in vehicles, including sensors, actuators, and control units, along with their functionalities.
  • Firmware Updates & Maintenance – Experience in managing firmware updates and maintenance procedures for vehicle IT systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulations.
  • Certifications or diploma in Information Technology.
  • Certifications related to automotive electronics, telematics or vehicle networks would be considered an asset

We are looking for a skilled and reliable AC Technician to join our fleet maintenance team, specializing in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of air conditioning systems in buses. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with HVAC systems in heavy vehicles, with a strong focus on diagnostics, performance testing, and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair air conditioning systems in buses

•Conduct routine maintenance and preventative checks on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.

•Recharge AC systems with refrigerants and ensure proper pressure levels

•Conducting general maintenance, service, and repair duties on electrics efficiently.

• Ensuring that bus diagnostics and repairs meet safety and reliability standards and comply with government regulations.

• Training and assisting Semi-Skilled workers as required.

• Collaborating closely with other Mechanics, Panel Beaters, and workshop staff members.

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the workspace and ensuring proper management of hazardous waste.

• Adhering to established policies and procedures, including those related to security, health and safety, data protection, eco-friendly practices, and quality assurance.

• Completing job cards, work orders, or any other job-related documentation to ensure thorough traceability.

• Any other duties related to the job position that may be required depending on the exigencies of the business at the time

Requirements:

• Three (3) years working experience in Air conditional maintenance and repair of both buses or trucks

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Receive, record, and inspect all buses entering the workshop. Complete all necessary documentation and update the software accordingly. 
  • Deliver, track and update Work orders to the Supervisor for assignment to technical personnel. 
  • Updating records on time, including software such as Maximo with any related data such as opening/completing Work Orders, as well as inputting of hours. 
  • Assuring the staff complete the required works, and their job card. 
  • Filling out job cards or any other documentation related to the job to fully assure traceability 
  • Update the VOR status daily according to the progress of maintenance or repairs. 
  • Ensure that towed buses have a WO and are prioritized in the VOR system. 
  • Maintain constant communication with the Supervisor and Workshop Manager regarding vehicle status in the workshop. 
  • Ensure that all documentation related to completed bus repairs is properly filed. 
  • Participate in internal audits related to WO management and VOR control. 
  • Generate periodic reports depending on the exigencies of the workshop 
  • Following company health and safety policy. 
  • Any other duties related to the job position that may be required depending on the exigencies of the business at the time.  

Requirements:

  • ECDL qualification 
  • Language Requirement: Intermediate/Advanced English required. Maltese and Spanish are desirable.
  • Two (2) years working experience in the same role or related roles like fleet operations, fleet logistics or vehicle maintenance workshop. 
  • Proficiency experience with documentary management and fleet logistics such as Maximo) 
  • Proficient use of MS applications especially MS Excel and MS word
