Job Summary:

One Tech Group a leading provider of electromechanical services worldwide since 2007, it's looking to hire a Marine Electrical Engineer/Navcom Engineer in their offices in Piraeus.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, repair, and install Navigation and Radio Equipment, both onboard and in the workshop.
  • Carry out annual Radio Surveys and Voyage Data Recorder Annual Performance Tests.
  • Perform Gyrocompass overhauling.
  • Submit detailed reports following the completion of an assignment.
  • Report any hazards noticed.
  • Coordinate between the Operations Department for the services and installation schedule.
  • Update the Business Central system and optimize processes with the Supply Chain Manager.

 

Qualifications:

  • University Degree Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or any other related field.
  • Experience in a similar position will be considered as an advantage.
  • Experience in installation, testing, and commissioning of Navigation and Communication systems or similar marine systems (e.g., automation, power management) would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of marine systems, including automatic steering systems, radar systems, electronic chart display, navigational aids, and satellite communication systems.
  • Flexibility to travel worldwide at short notice.
  • Willingness to work extended hours or irregular shifts onboard vessels or in the workshop as required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent command of the written and spoken English language.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the Technical Department and technical team across all locations
  • Plan and optimize engineers’ scheduling and utilization
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support when required
  • Supervise technical services, installations, inspections, and approve final technical reports
  • Manage spare parts, warehousing, tools, equipment, and calibration schedules
  • Liaise with customers, Classification Societies, and regulatory authorities
  • Organize a Remote Support Department
  • Support Sales and Operations teams with technical input and pre-sales consultations
  • Organize technical trainings and ensure certifications and compliance are up to date
  • Monitor service efficiency, safety standards, and team performance
  • Travel as required for technical support, inspections, and customer technical meetings

 

Requirements

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant on-the-job experience
  • Previous experience as a technical inspector
  • GOC certificate will be considered an advantage
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage teams, multiple projects, and priorities effectively
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Greek and English
