Loan Asset Management Unit Manager
Themis Portfolio Management Ltd is a specialized servicer of non-performing loans. The company is currently growing and is seeking to recruit Loan Asset Management Unit Manager at our office in Nicosia.
Responsibilities:
- Distribute customer groups to LAM Officers, determines the goals, priorities, and schedules of each according to the strategy of the Unit, in order to submit requests for debt recovery timely.
- Maintain communication with clients/lawyers/accountants/intermediaries, solve problems and handle complaints in order to maintain quality of service according to the standards of the Company.
- Participate with Officers in meetingswith clients, lawyers, accountants and intermediaries, negotiate solutions for restructuring/settlement of facilities, including the issuance of court decisions, with the aim of collecting debt and maximizing revenue for the company.
- Review and evaluate requests for restructuring, foreclosures or appointment of Receiver/ Administrator/ Liquidator, in order to collect and reduce non-performing liabilities.
- Monitor the progress of pending decisions by Approving Authorities as well as the progress of other tasks with aim their timely completion.
- Negotiate with clients, lawyers, accountants and intermediaries in a timely manner the terms of settlement /recovery strategies in order to reach a final agreement.
- Monitor the restructured financing repayments as the terms of the restructuring agreement, in order to make them serviced and to be transferred timely to LAM Department.
- Be informed, comply with, and implement the "Arrears Management Directive" of the Central Bank of Cyprus and other relevant instructions of the Company, in order to ensure that all the members of the Team comply.
- Direct, coordinate and supervise the timely response to emergency tasks/ campaigns required by various authorities/ departments such as Central Bank, external advisors/ auditors, Regulatory Compliance, Operational Risk, Internal Audit as well as any other tasks assigned by the Head of Loan Asset Management Department.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Banking or any other relevant background
- Minimum of five years of prior experience in a similar position and/or proven ability to manage a team of 8-10 people
- Knowledge of banking industry rules and regulations, primarily in the areas of credit or recoveries
- Ability to manage a high volume of calls, efficiently and professionally
- Ability to solve problems
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong commercial awareness, ability to work well under pressure and efficiently manage time and priorities
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and writing
- Fluency in both Greek and English, written and spoken
