      Grant Thornton’s Digital Risk Services (DRS) -  Business Risk Services (BSR) team is currently seeking a driven and self-motivated professionals with passion and experience in IT internal / IT external audit, Third Party controls reporting, IT Regulator reviews and IT Risk Management and Compliance to join the team in Cyprus.

      Our team has grown substantially over the past year and performs a variety of services to clients in the areas of risk management, regulatory compliance, internal audit, attestation reporting, corporate governance, and IT audit.

      The role also provides strong candidates with the opportunity to work on exciting projects both locally but most importantly within the GT international network and play a role in successful and growing business unit whilst working closely with colleagues throughout the firm in a rapidly growing area of the business.       The Business Risk Services (BRS) Controls Advisory is responsible for delivering all phases of project and engagement management for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and completing internal audits, business process control reviews, activities related to Sarbanes-Oxley 404 internal control projects, and developing and supervising staff. The BRS consultants and senior consultants works closely with senior managers, managers and staff and plays a key role in client management and practice development.

      Main Responsibilities

      The role will place you at the heart of a high-energy, agile team that is committed to helping clients navigate the ever-changing IT risk landscape. Our key areas of focus include IT general control reviews as part of financial audits, Third Party controls reporting (ISAE3402, SSAE18, SOC2), framework specific controls assurance (SOx, ITIL etc.), ISO270001 audits and regulatory IT reviews. Key responsibilities include:

      • Deliver client assignments to include IT external audit, third party controls reporting, IT regulatory compliance and IT risk management reviews and ensure quality delivery as per client requirements;
      • Determine that the work delivered is of high quality through quality review/ assurance process with respect to complete and accurate documentation of testing results and review others’ documentation according to regulatory guidelines;
      • Conducting tests of Design and Implementation and Operating effectiveness of control Creating process documentation i.e. narratives, flowcharts and Standard operating procedures;
      • Mentor, support and review junior team members be willing to develop and support others in their growth journeys and Determine that the work delivered is of high quality through quality review/ assurance process with respect to complete and accurate documentation of testing results and review others’ documentation according to regulatory guidelines;
      • Preparation of reports/ deliverables/ status updates/ audit committee presentations etc.;
      • Work closely with client management, up to and including board-level directors.

      Skills and Attributes

      Non-experience / Experienced candidates should have basic / proficient knowledge respectively (both in leading and execution) in the areas of:

      • IT General Controls testing (ITGC), including platforms, ERP applications like SAP and databases for:
        • IT General Controls testing for Internal Audits (IA),
        • Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 302, 404 audits,
        • Third party reporting e.g. SOC1, SOC2 etc.
        • Governance, risk and compliance (GRC)
      • Gaining an understanding of the clients' IT applications and infrastructure to determine the effectiveness of the control environment through performing and reviewing process walkthroughs with:
        • Experience of Windows, Oracle, SQL or UNIX environments
        • Knowledge of IT industry practice methodologies (e.g. COSO, COBIT, ITIL, NIST) is preferable
      • Enthusiasm, drive and commitment;
      • Excellent project management skills with the ability to plan and manage multiple projects; and
      • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
      • Proficient in English and Greek languages.

      Experience

      Assistance Consultants:  Up to 2 years post qualification experience in an internal audit department or IT control assurance role.

      Consultants:  Up to 4 years post qualification experience in an internal audit department or IT control assurance role. Previous professional services experience is a distinct advantage.

      Qualification

      • Recognised bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, or other related field/ discipline.
      • Qualification relevant to IT audit, IT risk management, internal audit, consulting e.g., CISA, CRISC, CISM, COBIT 2019 Fundamentals, ISO270001 Lead Auditor etc.
      • CISA certification (passed examination) will be consider as an advantage; however, this can also be sponsored by the firm.
      • Demonstrate strong understanding and knowledge application of complex information systems.

        The role: Manager level consultancy position for experienced professionals in the area of financial services, with a focus on the banking sector. This is a challenging and fulfilling role where you will be a key member of the team, developing quantitative solutions in the areas of quantitative risk advisory including advanced model development, model validation, data analytics, risk measurement, and strategy.

        The Quantitative Risk Advisory Services team assists financial institutions with the development, validation, review, and documentation of bespoke Financial Risk quantitative models with main areas of application within IRB, IFRS 9, Stress Testing, and Portfolio management. Our specialist team are market leaders in the development of IRB, IFRS 9, and Stress Testing models in accordance with emerging regulatory guidelines. These models support the determination and allocation of a client’s regulatory and economic capital. By joining our team, you will have direct access to the partners and the ability to provide a valued opinion within the team.

         Main responsibilities:

        • Lead: elements of assignments and engagements in the areas of specialist quantitative and risk expertise. This will include the provision of specialist expertise in the area of models, risk, and regulation to ensure a best in class offering to the banking market.
        • Implement: Develop and implement bespoke quantitative tools to drive insights and decisions from data.  Techniques include time series forecasting, regression modelling, classification methods, machine learning, and visualisation techniques.  
        • Professional Development: Provide expertise and specialist knowledge input and develop a solid understanding of business strategy, products, and markets and ensure on-going professional development in contributing to the best in class offering to Clients.
        • Business Development: Contribute to the development of best-in-class approaches to ensure the Firm can secure and deliver on engagements and assignments. Create excellent proposals that show understanding of the market, Client needs, and the Firm’s offering. Ensure opportunities are well understood by the Firm and developed by focusing on relationship development.
        • Communication: Take responsibility to ensure appropriate outcome of work is communicated clearly and effectively within reporting lines.
        • Team Development: Provide on-going training and support to the team and on-boarding of new hires, particularly from a technical perspective. This will include planning, managing, and allocating work to junior members of the team, when leading assignments and engagements.

         Skills and attributes:

        • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in the area of quantitative risk (modelling) business, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, risk or any related professional discipline;
        • Postgraduate degree in relevant topic is desirable;
        • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in financial/professional services;
        • Relevant experience includes inter alia: working in credit/equity analyst role, financial supervision, working in the banking or financial services sector, or financial/economic modelling;
        • Strong knowledge of the banking regulatory and legal framework and a deep understanding of the following: retail or wholesale business models, key risk drivers, and supervisory approaches;
        • Deep understanding is required in one of the following areas: Credit Risk/ECL Estimation (an ability to develop, review, and validate complex models), Staging, forecasting techniques, Stress Testing, or other Quantitative Modelling techniques;
        • Strong ability to utilise statistical/ coding packages such as (e.g., R, Python, SAS, SQL, VBA, C++);
        • Excellent MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills;
        • Professional Documentation skills are a bonus (e.g., LaTeX);
        • A professional certification such as FRM, CFA, CQF, CRC would be an advantage.

         Other Requirements:

        • Strong organizational, problem-solving, attention to detail, decision making, and planning skills;
        • Ability to take ownership of projects/tasks and provide solutions to challenges;
        • Communicating effectively at all levels, both in writing and verbally in Greek and in English;
        • Proficiency in other European languages is a bonus;
        • Establish and maintain a high degree of confidentiality, respect, trust, and integrity at all levels;
        • The ability to work effectively either individually or as a member of a multi-skilled team;
