Grant Thornton’s Digital Risk Services (DRS) team is currently seeking a driven and self-motivated professionals with passion and experience in Cybersecurity Advisory, IT Internal / IT External audit, Third Party Controls reporting, IT Regulator reviews, Information Security Risk Management and Compliance to join the team in Cyprus.

Our team has grown substantially over the past year and performs a variety of services to clients in the areas of cybersecurity, risk management, regulatory compliance, internal audit, attestation reporting, corporate governance, and IT audit.

The role also provides strong candidates with the opportunity to work on exciting projects both locally but most importantly within the GT international network and play a role in successful and growing business unit whilst working closely with colleagues throughout the firm in a rapidly growing area of the business. Main Responsibilities

The role will place you at the heart of a high-energy, agile team that is committed to helping clients navigate the ever-changing IS / IT risk landscape. Our key areas of focus include Cybersecurity reviews, IT general control reviews as part of financial audits, Third Party controls reporting (ISAE3402, ISAE 3000, SSAE18, SOC2), framework specific controls assurance (SOx, ITIL etc.), NIST / ISO 270001, SWIFT CSP audits and regulatory IT reviews. Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver client assignments to include IT external audit, third party controls reporting, IT regulatory compliance and IT risk management reviews and ensure quality delivery as per client requirements;
  • Assess and Deliver Policies and Procedures tailored to the business requirements of our clients.
  • Assist clients in their compliance journey with multiple Cybersecurity Frameworks and Regulations.
  • Assist our team to deliver our CISO-as-a-Service offering to clients outsourcing this function to our DRS team.
  • Determine that the work delivered is of high quality through quality review/ assurance process with respect to complete and accurate documentation of testing results and review others’ documentation according to regulatory guidelines;
  • Conducting tests of Design and Implementation and Operating effectiveness of control Creating process documentation i.e. narratives, flowcharts and Standard operating procedures;
  • Mentor, support and review junior team members be willing to develop and support others in their growth journeys and Determine that the work delivered is of high quality through quality review/ assurance process with respect to complete and accurate documentation of testing results and review others’ documentation according to regulatory guidelines;
  • Preparation of reports/ deliverables/ status updates/ audit committee presentations etc.;
  • Work closely with client management, up to and including board-level directors.

Skills and Attributes

Non-experience / Experienced candidates should have basic / proficient knowledge respectively (both in leading and execution) in the areas of:

  • IT General Controls testing (ITGC), including platforms,ERP applications like SAP and databases for:
    • IT General Controls testing for Internal Audits (IA),
    • Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 302, 404 audits,
    • Third party reporting e.g. SOC1, SOC2 etc.
    • Governance, risk and compliance (GRC)
  • Gaining an understanding of the clients' IT applications and infrastructure to determine the effectiveness of the control environment through performing and reviewing process walkthroughs with:
    • Experience of Windows, Oracle, SQL or UNIX environments
    • Knowledge of IT and Information Security industry practice methodologies (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, COSO, COBIT, ITIL) is preferable
  • Enthusiasm, drive and commitment.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to plan and manage multiple projects; and
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in English and Greek languages.

Experience

Assistance Consultants:  Up to 2 years  experience in Cybersecurity advisory or IT control assurance role.

Consultants:  Up to 4 years  experience in Cybersecurity advisory or internal audit department or IT control assurance role. Previous professional services experience is a distinct advantage.

Assistant Managers: Up to 6-year experience in Cybersecurity advisory or internal audit department or IT control assurance role. Previous professional services experience is a distinct advantage.

Qualification

  • Recognized bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or other related field/ discipline.
  • Qualification relevant to IT audit, IT risk management, internal audit, consulting e.g., CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, COBIT 2019 Fundamentals, ISO270001 Lead Auditor / Implementer etc.
  • CISA certification (passed examination) will be consider as an advantage; however, this can also be sponsored by the firm.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding and knowledge application of complex information systems.

        Role description:

      • As a Manager / Assistant Manager you will conduct technical security assessments and work on information security projects which require expertise in one or more of the following areas: Penetration Testing / Ethical Hacking, Vulnerability Assessments, Social Engineering and Red Teaming. You will identify and exploit technical vulnerabilities in real-world environments, assess business risks of the technical vulnerabilities and communicate to client personnel.

       Some typical projects in which you will be involved:

      • Web application / API Penetration testing: trying to find vulnerabilities in web applications (i.e. Internet Banking, e-commerce websites, web portals etc.) and report them to clients. Trying to exploit these vulnerabilities in order to demonstrate their potential impact on the business.
      • Internal network penetration testing - simulating a malicious person (visitor, temporary member of staff etc.) who already has access to the internal network of our client. Starting only from a simple network port access you will have to gain access to sensitive information from the client's internal network, gain Domain Admin access or reach other flags.
      • Mobile application penetration testing: trying to find vulnerabilities in mobile applications (Android, iOS, Windows phone) and suggest corrective measures to improve their security.
      • Social Engineering: trying to trick clients’ employees using various scenarios such as E-mail Phishing, Website Phishing, Smishing, Vishing, physical social engineering etc. The objective is to raise awareness
      • Make demos and presentations to clients.
      • Technical research and presenting our results to hacking conferences - local and international.

        Specific requirements:

      • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a professional environment preferably as part of an operational security function (application testing, penetration testing, and/or red teaming).
      • Since IT Security is a multidisciplinary field, we are looking for a person who has a broader understanding of technical concepts from one or more of the following areas: web applications, mobile applications, system administration, networking, software development.
      • In order to understand the technical level that we need, here are a few keywords that you should be familiar with: OWASP Top 10, HTTP protocol, SSL, SQL, JavaScript, TCP/IP, DNS, Burp Suite, Wireshark, Nmap, Linux shell commands, Python, PowerShell, AD.
      • Since we work with local and international clients, we are looking for a person capable of presenting and writing the reports in very good technical and business Greek and English (oral and written).

       Other requirements are:

      • We are looking for practical experience in at least one of the following: security testing, web application testing, mobile app testing
      • The ability to work effectively either individually or as a member of a multi-skilled team.
      • Professional discipline, accuracy, reliability and excellent analytical skills;
      • Strong interpersonal skills, team spirit, resilience, flexibility, adaptability and self-motivation.
      • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Forensics
      • A professional certification (such as OSCP, OSCE, CEH, LPT, CCNA, CompTIA Security+ etc.) would be an advantage.
