The Position: New members joining will be principally involved in the provision of our compliance services and, with the necessary support, will have the day-to-day responsibility for all compliance work undertaken by the Vat team under the supervision of a manager. Eventually, they will be involved in the provision of high-quality advisory work in all sectors of business, including the public sector in Cyprus and beyond. The Company will invest towards the personal and professional development of the new team members.
The responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Establishing effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
- Being proactively involved in the VAT compliance management of the client
- Contributing to the development of personal and team knowledge
- Building own network of contacts through regular attendance at internal and external meetings
- Keeping up to date with changes in relevant vat law and in the firm's products and services
- Keeping up to date with local and national business and economic issues that might potentially impact clients and /or their industry.
Skills / Requirements:
- Motivated to pursue a professional qualification, or in the process of pursuing a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA).
- This is an entry level position thus previous experience will be considered an advantage (12-18 months max.)
- Demonstrate ownership and ease with taking initiatives, planning, organizing and prioritizing tasks.
- Team player and flexible to work on various types of assignments both independently and in a team.
- Have a genuine interest in vat.
- Willing to study and learn more about CY and EU vat legislation.
- Excellent command of the Greek and English language (written and verbal).
- IT literate with sound knowledge and experience of MS Office.
