About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Interior Designer to join our talented and motivated team in the Leeds Studio. 

Joining at a pivotal moment of growth, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in shaping the future of our expanding interior design offering. You will work across a diverse range of sectors and project typologies, contributing to both live and upcoming schemes that reflect the ambition of the studio. As we continue to build momentum, the role provides a platform to influence our direction and help establish the practice as one of the leading interior design teams nationally.

As an Associate, you will enjoy an interesting mix of responsibilities, including:

Managing project teams to deliver business and project targets for the local studio and wider Practice

Leading multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time and within budget

Ensuring compliance with building regulations, Health & Safety requirements and project governance

Managing the preparation of presentation drawings, concept development and design outputs, guiding team members where needed

Overseeing the production of detailed design drawings, schedules, specifications and 2D/3D outputs using CAD and BIM

Sourcing technical information, evaluating buildability, preparing risk assessments and cost/benefit analyses

Preparing tender reports, recommendations and delivering work aligned to QM procedures

Coordinating effectively with consultants, statutory bodies, clients and internal teams

Preparing and delivering presentations and managing meetings with confidence

Providing clients with high quality advice, guidance and project updates while maintaining strong client relationships

Managing client enquiries, supporting client satisfaction monitoring and resolving issues appropriately

Playing an active role in bidding for and securing new business in line with the studio or regional business plan

Contributing to a positive team culture through strong leadership, coaching, performance development and effective people management

About You

We are looking for candidates who possess the following experience and skills:

Professionally qualified in relevant discipline (Interior Architecture / Interior Design) 

Strong problem solving and decision making skills 

Confident in managing budgets and controlling project expenditure 

Experience contributing to business development activities 

Able to work with minimal supervision and lead others effectively 

Competent in preparing and delivering presentations and managing meetings 

Strong working knowledge of CAD, Revit, BIM and Microsoft Office 

Proven people management experience, including supervising, coaching and developing team members 

Strong relationship building skills with clients, colleagues and third parties 

Highly organised with strong planning capabilities 

Good understanding of QM procedures, Health & Safety requirements and professional responsibilities 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist to join our talented and motivated team in the Birmingham Studio, stepping into an established role within our friendly and collaborative team.

As a Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist, you will enjoy an interesting mix of responsibilities, including:

Producing high quality technical drawings and supporting documentation in line with Corstorphine & Wright’s Quality Management procedures

Acting as Project Manager where required, ensuring technical services are delivered efficiently, on time and within budget

Maintaining up to date knowledge of legislation, Building Regulations, Building Bulletins and Health & Safety requirements

Ensuring full implementation of Corstorphine & Wright’s Quality Management System

Managing the production of detailed design drawings, working drawings, schedules and specifications using CAD and/or BIM

Arranging project reviews to help resolve technical challenges

Maintaining accurate project records through CMAP (with training provided)

Ensuring clear understanding of Appointment Documents, Scopes of Services and construction contract obligations

Reporting potential PI claims or risks to Directors

Mentoring junior technical team members and supporting their development

Attending project, studio and site meetings and ensuring high quality communication across all parties

Managing confidential information appropriately

Supporting the maintenance of strong relationships with clients, contractors, colleagues and external stakeholders

About you

We are looking for candidates who possess the following experience and skills:

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience delivering projects independently through multiple RIBA stages 

Strong BIM and CAD capability with proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD 

HNC/HND in a related discipline, or significant relevant professional experience 

Membership of CIAT or working towards chartered status 

Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and associated technical standards 

Ability to manage workload, make clear decisions and meet demanding deadlines 

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and share knowledge 

Experience liaising with clients, contractors, consultants and third parties 

Strong organisational and planning skills 

Excellent communication skills

About the role

As a Senior Architect, you will enjoy an interesting mix of responsibilities, including:

Leading the design and delivery of building projects from concept through to completion

Producing detailed architectural drawings by hand and using specialist BIM and CAD software

Managing and guiding project teams to deliver architectural services to agreed deadlines

Working within planning, environmental and budgetary constraints to shape viable project solutions

Liaising with construction professionals to deliver complex and challenging schemes

Leading coordination with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, project managers, QSs and technologists

Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with clients

Proven experience delivering projects using CAD and BIM 

Ability to plan resources and monitor project profitability 

Strong organisational, project management and planning skills 

Ability to work under pressure, balancing deadlines, budgets and multiple priorities 

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain a strategic overview 

Strong analytical and problem solving abilities 

Leadership experience, including managing multidisciplinary project teams 

In depth knowledge of project delivery processes 

Understanding of environmental and social considerations within project design
