About the role 

As an Endpoint and Infrastructure Engineer within the C&W IT team, you will play a key role in supporting, developing and improving our endpoint and infrastructure environment across the practice. Based in our Birmingham Studio, this is an opportunity to join a friendly, collaborative and forward-thinking team, taking ownership of core technology services that help our people work securely, efficiently and effectively. 

This varied role combines hands-on technical support, modern device management, infrastructure operations and continuous improvement. You will help maintain secure and reliable systems, support Microsoft-based technologies, manage device and application lifecycles, and contribute to projects that strengthen the resilience and performance of our IT services. 

The key role responsibilities are: 

  • Taking ownership of the endpoint and infrastructure estate, including laptops, workstations, servers, mobile devices and core supporting services. 
  • Maintaining secure, compliant and reliable systems through device management, patching, vulnerability remediation and security baselines. 
  • Developing and supporting modern device management using Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Autopilot and Microsoft 365 technologies. 
  • Packaging, deploying and maintaining business-critical applications, supporting dependable software updates and lifecycle management. 
  • Contributing to infrastructure operations, service resilience and continuous improvement across a modern Microsoft-based environment.

What you will bring to the team:  

We are looking for candidates who possess the following experience and skills: 

  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments and Microsoft 365. 
  • Experience managing or supporting endpoint devices. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
  • A proactive and organised approach to work. 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills. 
  • A genuine interest in technology, security and continuous improvement. 
  • Most importantly, you'll enjoy taking responsibility for your work and be keen to learn, develop and grow within the role. 

Experience of the following would be desirable, but not essential: 

  • Microsoft Intune, Entra ID and Autopilot 
  • PowerShell scripting or automation. 
  • Supporting server infrastructure. 
  • Software deployment and application packaging. 
  • Working within a professional services environment. 
  • Supporting Autodesk or other design-focused applications.

About the role:

Following continued growth, exciting project wins and the ongoing expansion of our North East  Teams, we’re looking for a talented Senior Delivery focused person in our Newcastle Studio. This could be a Senior Architect or Senior Architectural Technologist.

As a Senior Architect/Architectural Technologist in the C&W team, you will play a key role in leading projects, building client relationships and shaping exceptional delivery across a diverse range of sectors. Working closely with our leadership team, you will lead or work within project teams on projects from concept through to completion, mentor designers and technicians and help drive continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, gain exposure to varied sectors at all stages of the design process and build a successful career within a growing team.

This role is ideal if you want to:

Lead the design and delivery of high-quality projects across multiple sectors.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor throughout the project        lifecycle.

What you will bring to the team:

Strong design, presentation and communication skills with confidence leading client meetings and workshops.

Proven experience managing projects from briefing and concept through to technical delivery and completion.

A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor, motivate and develop others.

Commercial awareness with experience managing project programmes, budgets and consultant teams.

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Be a qualified Architect or Architectural Technologist.

Extensive experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating design excellence and successful project delivery.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist to join our talented and motivated team in the Birmingham Studio, stepping into an established role within our friendly and collaborative team.

As a Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist, you will enjoy an interesting mix of responsibilities, including:

Producing high quality technical drawings and supporting documentation in line with Corstorphine & Wright’s Quality Management procedures

Acting as Project Manager where required, ensuring technical services are delivered efficiently, on time and within budget

Maintaining up to date knowledge of legislation, Building Regulations, Building Bulletins and Health & Safety requirements

Ensuring full implementation of Corstorphine & Wright’s Quality Management System

Managing the production of detailed design drawings, working drawings, schedules and specifications using CAD and/or BIM

Arranging project reviews to help resolve technical challenges

Maintaining accurate project records through CMAP (with training provided)

Ensuring clear understanding of Appointment Documents, Scopes of Services and construction contract obligations

Reporting potential PI claims or risks to Directors

Mentoring junior technical team members and supporting their development

Attending project, studio and site meetings and ensuring high quality communication across all parties

Managing confidential information appropriately

Supporting the maintenance of strong relationships with clients, contractors, colleagues and external stakeholders

About you

We are looking for candidates who possess the following experience and skills:

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience delivering projects independently through multiple RIBA stages 

Strong BIM and CAD capability with proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD 

HNC/HND in a related discipline, or significant relevant professional experience 

Membership of CIAT or working towards chartered status 

Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and associated technical standards 

Ability to manage workload, make clear decisions and meet demanding deadlines 

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and share knowledge 

Experience liaising with clients, contractors, consultants and third parties 

Strong organisational and planning skills 

Excellent communication skills

Leading the design and delivery of building projects from concept through to completion

Producing detailed architectural drawings by hand and using specialist BIM and CAD software

Managing and guiding project teams to deliver architectural services to agreed deadlines

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain a strategic overview 

Strong analytical and problem solving abilities 

Leadership experience, including managing multidisciplinary project teams 

In depth knowledge of project delivery processes 

Understanding of environmental and social considerations within project design
