Job Summary:

Aphrodite Hills Resort is seeking an experienced Golf Operations Manager to lead our golf operations and deliver an exceptional experience for members, residents, and international guests. Reporting to the Director of Golf & Sports, you will oversee Golf Retail, Outside Services, Administration, Golf Events, and collaborate with the PGA National Golf Academy and Golf Maintenance team.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

      Oversee the daily golf operations including tee sheet management, golf shop, guest services, practice facilities and the PGA National Golf Academy.

      Lead, supervise and develop the golf operations team ensuring high service standards and operational efficiency.

      Deliver an outstanding guest and member experience across all areas of the golf operation.

      Coordinate and manage tournaments, golf events and corporate golf days.

      Support the golf retail operation including merchandising, stock control and sales performance.

      Oversee the golf cart fleet, rental equipment and practice facilities.

      Work closely with the Outside Service team to ensure smooth daily operations including golf cart fleet management, course assistance and guest services.

      Coordinate with the Golf Retail team to support merchandising, inventory management and retail performance.

      Work with the Golf Administration and Business Coordination team to ensure accurate financial reporting, invoicing and operational tracking for golf related activities.

      Collaborate with the Sales and Reservations teams to optimise tee time bookings, group reservations and golf packages.

      Monitor operational performance, sales reports and booking trends to improve efficiency and revenue generation.

      Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure effective communication between golf operations and course maintenance.

      Assist the Director of Golf & Sports in implementing operational procedures, service standards and continuous improvements across the golf operation.

 

Requirements and Qualifications: 

      Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in golf operations or a similar management role within a golf club or golf resort.

      Experience in an international golf resort environment preferred.

      PGA qualification beneficial but not essential.

      Strong leadership and team management skills.

      Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

      Highly organised with strong operational and problem-solving skills.

      Good knowledge of Golf Manager Systems is beneficial. Experience with point-of-sale systems is also an advantage.

      Passion for golf and delivering exceptional hospitality standards.

      Fluent English required. Additional languages are considered an advantage.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Deliver a quality and fun coaching program to both adults and children of all abilities.

Ensure health and safety to the highest standard both on and off the courts.

Present a professional appearance and attitude and maintain an excellent standard of customer service.

Promote the tennis program and tennis events actively aim to increase participation (marketing actions)

Help organize and host social events and generally interact with guests.

Work as part of a team to set up, pack up, and proactively help all guests.

Be flexible in your job role and willing to assist in all other duties (clay court maintenance), within reason, as requested by the Sports Hub Manager / Head Coach.

Teach and convey values of sport.

Assess player performance and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

Educated to degree level, will be considered a plus: track record and sporting results - National Ranking - International Ranking (ITF, ATP, FIP, WPT)

International Certification as a tennis/padel coach. (PTR - LTA or equivalent)

Strong playing skills and at least 3 years’ experience needed. 

Open to become expert of a different coaching methodology & philosophy.

Desire to work hard and strive to become a better tennis coach and professional.

Ability to maintain good relations with guests, members, and fellow coaches. 

Excellent teaching and communication skills. 

High level of energy and ability to motivate players.

Strong organizational skills and time-management skills.

Speak English fluently (Greek & Russian language will be considered a plus)

EU citizen or EU work permit holder 

 

Working Schedule: 

5.5 days working (1.5 OFF per week)

Winter Period: 08:00-12:00 & 15:00-19:00

Summer Period: 08:00-12:00 & 16:00-20:00
