Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining up to date bookkeeping and serving as the primary contact for accounts queries. Key responsibilities include reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts, preparing bank payments and deposits, and assisting with cost analysis for budgeting and forecasting. The accountant will also ensure timely payment of credit invoices, support invoicing and cash collection, and provide ad hoc reports as needed. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software are essential for this role.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain the bookkeeping and accounting records and ensure they are up to date
  • Contact point for accounts queries within area of responsibility
  • Assist with analysis of actual cost for budget and forecast process
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts (banks, intercompany, suppliers, customers etc)
  • Prepare bank payments and deposits
  • Provide ad hoc reports and analysis as requested
  • Ensure that all pending credit invoices are paid in a timely manner
  • Assist in invoicing, cash collection and depositing in related banks
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all accounting deadlines

 

Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 2 years working experience in a similar position
  • Experience in data processing, supplier reconciliations, query resolution.
  • Able to monitor and manage workload, especially around month end, to ensure that reporting deadlines are met.
  • Knowledge of Navision would be an advantage.
  • Basic excel skills.
  • Accounting Degree/Diploma/LCCI Higher.
  • ACCA trainee or ACCA qualified will be considered an advantage.
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken, is required.
  • EU citizen or an EU work permit holder

Reporting to: Head Mechanic and Golf Course Superintendent

Location: Aphrodite Hills Resort, Paphos

 

Job Summary: 

This role's purpose is to support the maintenance and repair of all equipment and machinery used on the golf course, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained operation. The Assistant Golf Mechanic will work closely with the Head Mechanic and other grounds staff to ensure that the golf course equipment remains in top working condition for the daily operation and overall aesthetic of the course.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

          Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the daily maintenance of all golf course machinery, including but not limited to lawnmowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and other specialised turf equipment.

          Repairs and Troubleshooting: Respond to mechanical issues during the day by diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and ensuring that equipment is back in service as quickly as possible.

          Routine Inspections: Conduct daily inspections of all golf course equipment to identify signs of wear and tear and ensure it operates safely and effectively.

          Fuel and Lubrication: Monitor and maintain all equipment's proper fuel levels, oil changes, and lubrication schedules.

          Work Orders: Assist in processing work orders for equipment maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely follow-up and completion of tasks.

          Record Keeping: Ensure daily records of maintenance and repairs are accurately logged using the Ground 2 Control system.

          Staff Training: Assist in training using the Train the Trainer methods and following Aphrodite Hills training documents.

          Record Keeping with Ground 2 Control: Assist in compiling and updating detailed records of fuel, equipment performance, maintenance, and repairs using the Ground 2 Control system. Ensure that all relevant data is inputted accurately and on time.

          Inventory Management: Help track parts and supplies, ensuring adequate inventory levels are maintained for regular maintenance and repairs.

          Preventative Maintenance Scheduling: Work with the Head Mechanic to ensure that all equipment receives scheduled preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer recommendations and best practices.

          Reporting: Help prepare monthly reports on equipment status, repair histories, and maintenance trends.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

          High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in mechanical repair preferred.

          At least 1-2 years of experience working with small engines, golf course equipment, or related mechanical fields.

          Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and power tools.

          Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

          Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

          Ability to work in outdoor conditions and perform physical tasks.

          Excellent verbal communication skills in English language

          Driving License

 

          Eu citizen or an EU work permit holder

 

Schedule:

        Monday-Friday (06:00-14:45)

          Every third weekend (4 hours Saturday and 4 hours Sunday)/ Entitlement to an additional day off during the following week after your weekend shift.

Lead tendering processes and negotiate contract awards with discretion and professionalism. 

          Design & Service Integration: Maintain a deep understanding of existing resort infrastructure, ensuring seamless serviceability and proposing refined solutions to enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.

          Budget Management: Estimating costs, forecasting budgets, payment certificates, obtain quotes, and tracking expenditures to ensure adherence to financial constraints.

          Resource Coordination:  Direct multiple teams and external partners, ensuring optimal resource allocation and smooth project execution. 

          Risk Management: Anticipate challenges, assess risks, and implement proactive mitigation strategies. Oversee all permitting processes, including TPH permits, Building Permits, Final Certificates, and Titles, coordinating submissions through Ippodamos and maintaining direct communication with authorities.

          Communication & Reporting: Serve as the central point of contact for company management and ownership, delivering clear, timely, and insightful updates that support informed decision making. 

          Team Leadership: Mentoring and motivating team members to meet project deadlines. 

          Quality Control: Ensure all contractors and suppliers deliver work that meets the resort’s elevated standards, contractual obligations, and project timelines. 

          Permits: Laise with Consultants and Authorities for issuing the various permits (Building permits – TPH permits etc).

     

    Requirements and Qualifications: 

          Experience: Minimum 10+ years of proven project management experience, ideally within luxury hospitality, resort development, or high-end construction.

     

          Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering

     

          Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) is considered as a plus 

          Professional Membership: Registered member of ETEK. 

          Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of multiple engineering disciplines.

          Language: Excellent knowledge of Greek and English languages, both verbal and written.

     

          Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD, project management software (e.g., Gantt charts, MS Project) and engineering software.

     

          Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

    Strong playing skills and at least 3 years’ experience needed. 

    Open to become expert of a different coaching methodology & philosophy.
