On behalf of our client, an elegant opulent luxury hotel, we are seeking to recruit a high caliber and experienced candidate for the position of Restaurant Manager, to be based at our client's premises in Paphos.

Job Duties
Reporting to the Hotel’s General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and upholding a consistently high standard of customer service in alignment with the hotel’s guidelines and standard operating procedures. Specifically, the successful candidate will:

  • Ensure a high standard of customer service.
  • Oversee the staff for the smooth running of the restaurant.
  • Plan and delegate duties to the staff and ensuring that they work according to the Hotel’s standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Conduct inspections of the restaurant’s kitchen and ensuring proper hygiene is maintained.
  • Check with the guest and making sure that they are getting served up to the expected standards.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
  • Maintain staff training accordingly to high quality standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain low payroll and food and beverage cost.
  • Maintain upselling techniques.

Qualifications

  • A University Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Hotel/Hospitality/Leisure Management or related field
  • Proven experience as Restaurant Manager or a similar position in the Hospitality industry
  • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages. Any other languages will be considered as an advantage
  • Computer literate with excellent knowledge of MS Office

    • Increase sales of the memberships and products.
    • Gather customer requirements.
    • Plan food and beverage menus considering clients’ preferences and special requests.
    • Maintain consistency of service by being aware of and prepared for all course events, large parties and reservations that may affect food and beverage service operations.
    • Determine requirements in ingredients and set portions.
    • Coordinate staffing levels for each event, including hiring, training, and supervising event staff.
    • Implement effective communication strategies to address any issues that may arise during events.
    • Oversee food preparation and customer service.
    • Report on expenses.
    • Manage stock and place orders as needed.
    • Negotiate supplier arrangements for food and beverage products.
    • Negotiate with clients for use of facilities for parties, banquets, etc.
    • Adhere to food, health & safety standards.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Report on management regarding sales results and productivity.
    • Arrange food tastings with potential customers.
    • Maintain the best and high-quality service.
    • Maintain customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications

    • A University Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Hotel/Hospitality/Leisure Management or related field. Certification in culinary management is a plus.
    • Proven experience as Catering Manager or similar position
    • Proven experience with creating menus from scratch
    • Excellent knowledge of food hygiene principals
    • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages. Any other languages will be considered as an advantage
    • Computer literate with excellent knowledge of MS Office

    • Cooperate with the F&B Manager to manage all F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards.

    • Assist the F&B Manager by attracting, recruiting, training, and appraising talented employees.

      Job Duties
      Reporting to the Hotel’s General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Reservations department and upholding a consistently high standard of customer service in alignment with the hotel’s guidelines and standard operating procedures. Specifically, the successful candidate will:

      • Ensure a high standard of customer service.
      • Ensure the proper accomplishment of daily tasks within the Reservations department.
      • Collaborate closely with the Front Office Manager and Resident Manager to define levels of overbooking and walkouts.
      • Ensure that group reservations and VIP reservations are handled according to the hotel’s standards.
      • Implement and monitor selling strategies agreed upon by the hotel to maximize revenue, including the proper application of rate restrictions.
      • Manage the hotel's inventory and pricing on a daily basis across all channels.
      • Take the lead in training, motivating, and following up with Reservation Agent(s).
      • Receive, process, and confirm guest room reservations made by/for clients through various channels, such as phone, email, or reservation systems.
      • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the hotel’s facilities, including restaurants, bars, spa, and entertainment, to answer guest queries promptly and knowledgeably.
      • Ensure compliance with rate policies and selling strategies. Actively upsell resort facilities like restaurants and spa to guests, following necessary procedures to ensure accurate reservations.

      Qualifications

      • A University Degree or Diploma in Hotel/Hospitality/Leisure Management or related field
      • Proven experience as Reservations Manager with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel
      • Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages. Any other languages will be considered as an advantage
      • Computer literate with excellent knowledge of MS Office
