Entry Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Finance/Law from a reputable university
  • A Master’s degree in Economics/Finance will/Law be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek language
  • 2-3 of relevant working experience is required
  • Very good reporting skills

  • Working with others and as a member of team in order to finalize an assignment

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Communicate and provide consultancy support to Investment Firms and Financial Institutions
  • Communicate with Regulatory Authorities
  • Communicate with Internal Audit and Risk Management Departments
  • Draft advices to clients’ compliance related issues and regulatory reports
  • Handle compliance requests, client’s complaints, requests from Regulatory Authorities
  • Participate in the compliance assignments of Financial Institutions
  • Ensure that the reporting obligations of the Financial Institutions are fulfilled
  • Ensure that operational procedures comply with industry practices, internal procedures and regulations

Assistant Payroll Manager

Nicosia

We are looking for an ambitious Assistant Payroll Manager to join our expanding team of professionals and contribute to their continued growth.  Within this role the Assistant Payroll Manager will be supporting a strong portfolio of payrolls and have an active role in building strong relationships, both internally and externally as well as developing the junior team alongside the payroll manager.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process and registration of companies and employees, to Social Insurance Department and Tax Department
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support, train and develop junior members of the team
  • Manage Annual Returns of Remuneration e.g., prepare and review T.D.63 and T.D 59 forms
  • Deliver a full range of payroll services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe
  • Liaise and respond directly to clients regarding payroll matters and/or queries
  • Ensure that the monthly deliverables are submitted to clients in a timely manner, and all payroll related reports are accurately recorded and reported
  • Build relationships and interact with clients
  • Able to prepare and review complex income tax returns (T.D.1 form) and Employer’s Return (T.D.7 form)

 

Qualifications:

 

  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance, or relevant field
  • 2-3 years of experience in previous managerial position
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with notable experience handling multiple projects and tasks
  • Excellent command of Greek and English language
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. POCKET) will be considered as an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Cyprus Employment Legislation
