Key Responsibilities:
- Advising international clients on tax efficient structures and direct tax issues
- Assessing potential tax exposures/risks based on recent tax developments, and developing recommendations and implementation plans
- Assisting on tax compliance projects (e.g. preparation of tax returns and tax computations)
- Working in teams, delegate to and review work of junior staff and cooperate with senior level team members

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics or any other related field from a reputable university
- Minimum 3-4 years of direct tax experience
- ADIT qualification will be considered as an advantage
- Excellent written, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to draft professional reports addressing client requests
- Good understanding and knowledge of domestic and international direct tax related matters
- Able to study and understand the laws related to the direct taxation of Cyprus, effectively applying them in the context of direct tax engagements
- Good coaching skills and project management skills
- Commitment and willingness to learn
- Keeping abreast of the international tax developments considering potential implications and developing recommendations for the clients

Position: Assistant Tax Manager
Location: Nicosia and Limassol
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Managers, Senior Manager and Head of the Taxation Department
- Work closely with Directors, Senior Managers, Managers of all departments in order to enhance client service and facilitate new business development
- Assist in managing a portfolio of clients in relation to Corporate Taxation assignments
- Managing a team of Taxation consultants and responsible for their time management
- Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews
- Responsible for the technical development of the team members
- Ability to interpret Income Tax Law and apply it as required
- Providing Taxation consulting and advice to clients
- Review/preparation of tax compliance deliverables
- Identifying potential tax risks that a client may face and advise clients on local and international tax structures
- Preparation of letters/reports/rulings of opinion in relation to Taxation matters that will need to be submitted to the clients and/or to the Cyprus Tax Department
- Liaise with and manage the working relationship with Cyprus Tax Department in relation to routine tax audits
- Managing ad hoc tax enquiries on behalf of a portfolio of clients
- Perform Tax audits on clients and be able to prepare reports with relevant findings and proposals for rectifying any errors identified
- Oversee the efforts of multiple client engagements, plan, execute, direct, and complete tax assignments in a wide variety of industries and jurisdictions
- Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, make sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively
- Preparation and presentation of seminars to both clients and colleagues.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Law/Mathematics or any other related field from a reputable university
- ACA/ACCA qualified. Possession of International Tax qualification will be considered as an advantage
- Minimum 5 years of experience in TAX related position, 3 of them in a supervisory role
- Excellent knowledge of the Cyprus tax legislation
- Excellent knowledge of the provisions of Double Tax Treaties
- Excellent knowledge of the EU tax directives and international tax developments
- Able to study and understand the laws related to the direct taxation of Cyprus as well as other jurisdictions
- Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Excellent use, both oral and written, of English language
- Strong personality with the ability to take initiative and identify solutions

What we are looking for:
Entry Requirements:
- BSc in a relevant filed (e.g. Economics, Finance, Law etc.) from a reputable university
- Excellent analytical and written communication (including report writing) skills of the English and Greek language
- IT literate
Special Considerations (to be considered as an advantage):
- MSc in a relevant field (e.g. Economics, Finance, Law etc.)
- CySEC Certifications such (i.e. Basic, Advanced or AML Examination)
- 1-2 years of relevant working experience

What you should expect:
- Communicate and provide consultancy support to regulated entities (e.g. Investment Firms, Electronic Money Institutions, Payment Service Providers, Funds and Fund Managers, Gaming Licensees etc.)
- Communicate with relevant regulatory authorities (e.g. CySEC, CBC, FCA, MGA, MFSA, FSC etc.)
- Communicate and/or coordinate with other control functions (e.g. Internal Audit and Risk Management)
- Draft advices to clients’ compliance related issues / queries and regulatory reports
- Handle compliance requests, client’s complaints, requests from regulatory authorities
- Participate in the compliance assignments of firms, including the conducting of policies and procedures review, preparation and/or review of compliance monitoring programmes / plans, the assessment of controls and the conducting of corresponding compliance health check audits etc.
- Ensure that operational procedures comply with industry practices, internal procedures and regulations
Your Role:
- Close interaction with clients (e.g. e-meetings, meetings, emails, calls etc.)
- Conducting of research and development on an ongoing basis
- Performance of desk based reviews and verification checks / assessments
- Preparation of regulatory compliance materials (e.g. memos, presentations, publications etc.)
