Processing of Personal Data

At Grant Thornton (Cyprus) Ltd, we are committed to take every appropriate action to ensure the protection and responsible use of personal information shared by all candidates completing our on-line recruitment procedure, applying for employment with our clients.

In accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we hereby inform you that your personal data submitted online through our HR system hosted by ‘Exelsys’ on our behalf, will be under the control of Grant Thornton (Cyprus) Ltd, as the Controller of Processing. Grant Thornton (Cyprus) Ltd holds the role of the System Administrator and the recipients of your personal data will be the authorized people in the Client Recruitment team, responsible for the processing and assessment of your application.

The purpose of processing of your personal data is:

·         to process, review, administer and assess your application for employment;

·         to contact you during your candidacy for requesting additional information when needed, sending you emails and keeping you updated of the progress of your application;

·         to assess your suitability for other current and future roles with our clients (for the period of 12 months that your application is kept in our system, as per our retention policy)

Retention policy:  upon providing us with your consent we will retain your personal information, application through our on-line recruitment system, for a period of 12 months upon which we will securely dispose of all your personal information.[AP1]  If you do not agree to keep your application in our system, your personal data will be deleted within 30 working days from the date our client’s recruitment procedures would have been completed for the specific vacancy you have applied.

In the case that you have sent us your CV for future vacancies, your data will be retained for a period of 12 months. Should you wish to have your data disposed of earlier, please send us an email to: prfo@cy.gt.com


Your right as a candidate: During the period your application is kept in our system, you have the right at any point to log in with your personal password to access information shared with us: to review, to update, alter, or delete any or all your submitted information.
