- University degree or equivalent, certified by KYSATS, in the subject to be taught
- At least one year’s experience as a teacher in a secondary school
- Relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g. PGCE) will be considered as an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of general principles of teaching (pedagogy), subject specific curriculum design and assessment for learning
- Knowledge of the English language
- Knowledge of GCSE/A Level assessment criteria will be considered an advantage
- Knowledge of public school lyceum assessment criteria will be considered an advantage (2α & 3η τάξη λυκειακού κύκλου)
- Ability to identify their own development needs (professional and subject based), take ownership of their professional development and be prepared to improve their teaching practice and knowledge
