The American Academy Larnaca seeks to recruit full time:

to work in the AA Summer School for the summer 2024, starting on the 25th June until the 9th August 2024.

The working/contact hours are from 7:30-14:30 for 5 days per week (Monday – Friday).

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in teaching will be considered as an advantage

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of Greek & English language
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas using verbal, visual and written communication so that students will understand

    We seek to recruit a substantially part time enthusiastic and committed Chemistry Teacher to cover a maternity leave for the academic year 2024-2025, starting in September and ending in December 2024.

    Requirements

    Education & Experience

    • Relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g. PGCE) will be considered as an advantage

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Knowledge of general principles of teaching (pedagogy), subject specific curriculum design and assessment for learning
    • Knowledge of public school lyceum assessment criteria will be considered an advantage (2α & 3η τάξη λυκειακού κύκλου)
    • Knowledge of the English language
    • Knowledge of GCSE/A Level assessment criteria will be considered an advantage
    • Ability to identify their own development needs (professional and subject based), take ownership of their professional development and be prepared to improve their teaching practice and knowledge
