- Carry out routine daily plant inspections and complete all required paperwork.
- Operate asphalt coating and concrete plants safely and efficiently.
- Monitor product quality and report any issues or deviations.
- Maintain effective communication with the Weighbridge, Orders & Distribution team and tipper drivers.
- Monitor stock levels of raw materials to ensure production requirements are met.
- Report plant defects and equipment issues promptly.
- Assist with routine maintenance, cleaning and plant shutdowns.

Leiths (Scotland) Ltd is looking to recruit a reliable and experienced HGV Driver to operate a volumetric concrete mixer from our Aberdeen location.
This is a varied, hands-on role involving the safe delivery and on-site production of concrete for customers across Aberdeen and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will provide a professional and efficient service while ensuring the vehicle and equipment are operated safely and maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate a volumetric concrete mixer
- Deliver and produce concrete at customer sites
- Ensure the correct materials and quantities are supplied
- Complete daily vehicle and equipment checks
- Keep the vehicle and mixer clean and in good working order
- Complete all required delivery and vehicle documentation
- Provide a professional and helpful service to customers
- Follow all health and safety, road transport and company procedures
- Report any vehicle defects, breakdowns or operational issues promptly
About You
- Hold a valid HGV driving licence appropriate for the vehicle
- Hold a valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV driving experience
- Experience operating a volumetric or concrete mixer would be advantageous
- Good knowledge of Aberdeen and the surrounding areas
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
- Comfortable working independently and dealing directly with customers
- Able to carry out the physical and practical duties associated with the role
- Good communication and organisational skills
