Responsibility/Accountability
To assist the site manager in managing the development of the site through to completion, ensuring that programme, quality, and cost targets are achieved in accordance with Construction Documentation (CONDOC) and Key Information Prior to Start (KIPS), through the effective management of resources and compliance with NHBC, local authority and health & safety requirements.

Site Management
- Assists the site manager in the management and monitoring of on-site construction activities to ensure construction of projects are in accordance with the design/specification, build programme, budget and cost as defined by CONDOC and KIPS.
- Cost effective resource allocation and management of sub-contractors, staff, plant and materials and liaison with consultants and other external construction professionals.
- Assist the site manager by ensuring the onsite construction team have clear guidelines to their job responsibilities and are provided with full support in achieving these in terms of regular communication and training development.
- Is accountable for such duties and responsibilities as the site manager or contracts manager may determine; in particular deputise for the site manager as and when required.
Quality Assurance and Control
- Assist with quality control on construction projects in accordance with the Consistent Approach to Quality and Finishes document and the Customer Ready Certificate (RCR) and Handover Procedure Manual.
Customer Service
- Ensures site staff maintain the highest level of customer service towards customers, clients and members of the public.
Health & Safety
- Knowledge, understanding and implementation of health & safety requirements for all on-site activities, including responsibility for the condition and operation of facilities and structures in accordance with the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) and the Company’s policies and procedures.
- You must also take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and of others who may be affected by your actions or omissions at work.
General
- Strive to continually improve themselves, their work, their department and the Company.
- Be accountable for personal development through the PDR process seeking out opportunities to learn new skills.
- Undertakes other duties and responsibilities as specified by the line manager which are commensurate with the level of the post and to work as part of a mutually supportive construction team.
