The Operations Support Operative will need to be able to complete tasks to a high standard whilst adhering to standard operating processes with stores.
This role will effectively work with the Stores Operations and Construction Site-based teams to respond in a timely manner to deliver operational requests.
The Operations Support Operative will need to accurately pick and distribute items for site. Over time, an understanding of PCE plant and consumable items will be key to this role.
Summary
Contract: Permanent
Location: Tamworth, this role is based at PCE’s Head office in Tamworth Staffordshire, however, will require travel to PCE’s construction sites across the UK, therefore valid driving licence will be required. Roughly 3 days at Head Office, 2 days on Construction Sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Stores Operative
· GRN and distribution of deliveries received to stores
· Updating systems with GRN evidence
· Stock control and weekly ordering of consumables and plant equipment
· Use of PCE systems for ordering site plant and materials
· Distribution of consumables to site and recording through PCE systems
· Processing of returned equipment from site
· Undertaking stock takes and PI counts on a regular basis
· Involvement in planning of plant list picking and demob plans
· General delivery or collection of plant and materials
· Service and maintenance of plant equipment
· Checking of LOLER / PUWER / PAT test items
· Management of COSHH items
· An understanding of M-Tec and pumping system
· Demonstrate understanding and ability to follow plant service regimes
Safety
· Responsible for personal Health and Safety at all times
· Ensure all visitors to stores abide by the H&S rules of the stores area and wear appropriate PPE
· Ensure all fire escape routes within stores are maintained correctly
· Daily and weekly check on plant and equipment
General Duties
· Ensure building is secure and safe at all times
· Ownership and responsibility of PCE equipment / tools / vans
· Assisting with general housekeeping duties for stores and warehouse
· All other reasonable duties as required by the Company
· Undertaking training when required

To measure the financial and physical performance of Projects against order targets, assisting in driving best value from suppliers/subcontractors and internal resources to maximise project profitability and Company process improvements. This role will provide the commercial link from pre-construction to live projects and lead the commercial team to deliver and control the commercial aspects of their projects. · Ensuring that there is a strong and motivated team to help in completing the tasks that are required.
· Ensure that the business objectives are adequately cascaded to the team and that the surveyors are adhering to the business commercial procedures.
· Involvement with projects at an early stage, support the estimating team when required, along with pre-construction and post contract duties from procurement through to supporting the commercial delivery and final account negotiation.
· Minimising risks to ensure the successful financial completion of projects.
· Support the team with managing disputes / claims.
· Progress reporting and financial analysis of live projects.
PROJECT SURVEYING ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop a thorough understanding of the designated project specifications, pricing structures, programmes, and contractual conditions, etc, upon which the PCE project offer is based.
· Review, and assist with the negotiation and agreement of the Client/Main Contractor contract documentation in conjunction with Commercial Director.
· To assist other departments of the PCE team with pre-start planning and programming.
· Assist with the supplier/subcontractor selection, analysing competitive offers, and helping to ensure the chosen supplier/subcontractor has the appropriate skill set and capability to deliver the works.
· Place all appropriate supplier/subcontractor orders ensuring that such order documentation provides access to all the required information for the supplier/subcontractor to undertake their work without putting at jeopardy any of the terms, conditions or obligations agreed by PCE with its client.
· Be responsible for all Supplier/Sub-contract commercial management including variation accounts and processing of requests for payment.
· Attend external and internal project related meetings, recording all actions, agreements and any unresolved matters.
· Recording and tracking of progress by internal departments and external suppliers/subcontractors in relation to agreed project programmes.
· Manage the day to day Company cost control, monitoring and reporting systems including recommending and implementing improvements agreed with the Commercial Director.
· Change management control - Identification, communication, costing and assist with resolution of changes to PCE’s agreed scope of works.
· Analysis of internal reporting systems, design, procurement and construction, including site produced paperwork, giving feedback to the relevant Company Directors and Commercial Director with regards to quality and content.
· Provide advice to PCE staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence, and maintaining the central file/timeline.
· Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations with the client and supply chain as necessary.
· Communication and liaison with PCE’s client in relation to all of the project’s commercial matters, including the provision and production, in a timely manner, of all necessary information and substantiation of valuations, final accounts and retention release ensuring receipt of such payments in accordance with the agreed contract.
· Completion of a monthly cost / valuation report and cash flow for each designated project.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
· To become a valued, respected and trusted member of each project team
· To communicate regularly with all necessary PCE project staff, ensuring commercial controls are in place, understood and followed at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Design
· Create and manage design programme and outputs based on overall project programmes, ensure they are monitored and managed weekly.
· Manage design change, scope drift, variations, deviation from specification and payment against programmed deliverables.
· Manage the creation and development of models, calculations, drawings, sketches and schedules for project delivery, all in accordance with internal systems.
· Manage all digital aspects of design and all systems pertaining to control of design information within PCE.
· Manage BIM deliverables throughout all projects, ensuring Clients BIM Execution plans are fully complied with.
· Manage project IRS schedule and RFI’s, ensure project RFI’s are closed out and programme and cost implications are controlled.
· Control the project CDM and H&S requirements with particular emphasis on PCE temporary works and the safe construction of all associated works.
· Provide support to the Pre-Construction team develop Stage 3 deliverables during early stages as necessary.
Collaboration
· Meet the client’s needs and expectations, understand their drivers and communicate to all PCE project team.
· Develop strong lasting relationships with the Client, Project and Design teams.
· Create a confidence in PCE and our project team.
· Effective and clear communication of divisional and project objectives/deliverables to all members of the PCE team. Successful communication is key to the role.
· Hold weekly project design meetings with PCE design team, review work completed and set clear goals for planned work, ensure everyone is working to 1 plan and there is total clarity.
· Hold key stage Design Review meetings as project progresses, ensure all key stakeholders attend and provide input.
· Support the commercial function with change and scope drift, ensure there are no surprises internally and with the client, keep both up to speed at all times.

· Attend all project team meetings to report on design progress and quality conformance.

To measure the financial and physical performance of Projects against order targets, assisting in driving best value from suppliers/subcontractors and internal resources to maximise project profitability and Company process improvements. Timely submission and negotiation of interim and final accounts with client/main contractor and agreement of those issued to PCE by the supply chain.

Whilst based at PCE’s Head office in Tamworth Staffordshire, the role will require regular travel to PCE’s construction sites across the UK. Overnight stays may be required in order to meet the needs of the project.

Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Develop a thorough understanding of the designated project specifications, pricing structures, programmes, and contractual conditions, etc, upon which the PCE project offer is based.
- Review and assist with the negotiation and agreement of the Client/Main Contractor contract documentation.
- To assist other departments of the PCE team with pre-start planning and programming.
- Assist with the supplier/subcontractor selection, analysing competitive offers, and helping to ensure the chosen supplier/subcontractor has the appropriate skill set and capability to deliver the works.
- Place all appropriate supplier/subcontractor orders ensuring that such order documentation provides access to all the required information for the supplier/subcontractor to undertake their work without putting at jeopardy any of the terms, conditions or obligations agreed by PCE with its client.
- Be responsible for all Supplier/Sub-contract commercial management including variation accounts and processing of requests for payment.
- Attend external and internal project related meetings, recording all actions, agreements and any unresolved matters.
- Recording and tracking of progress by internal departments and external suppliers/subcontractors in relation to agreed project programmes.
- Manage the day to day Company cost control, monitoring and reporting systems including recommending and implementing improvements.
- Change management control - Identification, communication, costing and assist with resolution of changes to PCE’s agreed scope of works.
- Analysis of internal reporting systems, design, procurement and construction, including site produced paperwork, giving feedback with regards to quality and content.
- Provide advice to PCE staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
- Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations with the client and supply chain as necessary.
- Communication and liaison with PCE’s client in relation to all of the project’s commercial matters, including the provision and production, in a timely manner, of all necessary information and substantiation of valuations, final accounts and retention release ensuring receipt of such payments in accordance with the agreed contract.

We have an exciting new opportunity at PCE for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial QS Team.
To measure the financial and physical performance of Projects against order targets, assisting in driving best value from suppliers/subcontractors and internal resources to maximise project profitability and Company process improvements. Timely submission and negotiation of interim and final accounts with client/main contractor and agreement of those issued to PCE by the supply chain.

Location: (Tamworth HO)
Whilst based at PCE’s Head office in Tamworth Staffordshire, the role will require regular travel to PCE’s construction sites across the UK. Overnight stays may be required in order to meet the needs of the project.

Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Develop a thorough understanding of the designated project specifications, pricing structures, programmes, and contractual conditions, etc, upon which the PCE project offer is based.
- Review and assist with the negotiation and agreement of the Client/Main Contractor contract documentation.
- To assist other departments of the PCE team with pre-start planning and programming.
- Assist with the supplier/subcontractor selection, analysing competitive offers, and helping to ensure the chosen supplier/subcontractor has the appropriate skill set and capability to deliver the works.
- Place all appropriate supplier/subcontractor orders ensuring that such order documentation provides access to all the required information for the supplier/subcontractor to undertake their work without putting at jeopardy any of the terms, conditions or obligations agreed by PCE with its client.
- Be responsible for all Supplier/Sub-contract commercial management including variation accounts and processing of requests for payment.
- Attend external and internal project related meetings, recording all actions, agreements and any unresolved matters.
- Recording and tracking of progress by internal departments and external suppliers/subcontractors in relation to agreed project programmes.
- Manage the day to day Company cost control, monitoring and reporting systems including recommending and implementing improvements.
- Change management control - Identification, communication, costing and assist with resolution of changes to PCE’s agreed scope of works.
- Analysis of internal reporting systems, design, procurement and construction, including site produced paperwork, giving feedback with regards to quality and content.
- Provide advice to PCE staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
- Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations with the client and supply chain as necessary.
- Communication and liaison with PCE’s client in relation to all of the project’s commercial matters, including the provision and production, in a timely manner, of all necessary information and substantiation of valuations, final accounts and retention release ensuring receipt of such payments in accordance with the agreed contract.
- Completion of a monthly cost / valuation report and cash flow for each designated project.
