We have an exciting new opportunity at PCE for a Construction Site Administrator to work as part of our Projects team.

The Construction Site Administrator is responsible for overseeing all site administration on a project. They also remotely support projects with their HSE documents and uploading to Asite and provide support and training to all site-based end users of Asite in order to help in driving change to make everyone’s usage of Asite in line with WGLL & the AFSM. They support the Project Director and Project Manager in making a project compliant with all document administration and making sure that it is current and up to date, whilst working very closely with the BST, communicating any feedback and relevant information from site regarding Asite and systems in place. Always looking to work smarter and work towards streamlining all systems.

The Construction Site Administrator will be based at our project in Glasgow, Scotland

 

RESPONSIBITIES

 

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

Project support

Project Documentation:

• Uploading project documentation to the client platform, from Asite.

 Auditing:

• Auditing Asite ensuring project documentation is to the required standard and in line with process and procedures and the Asite Filing Structure Manual (AFSM).

Processes and WGLL:

• Support projects with creation and implementation of working processes and task specific WGLL.

Project O&M Manual:

• Collation of required content for O&M Manual

Project Admin:

• Participate and support the project teams in project and programme planning and progress meetings. Take meeting minutes where required

Asite

  • Ensure all project daily diaries are closed out for the previous week

• Ensure all project HSE Briefings are closed out for the previous week

• Conduct audits of Project Document Management System (Asite) to ensure it is utilised by the project team and in line with the Asite Filing Structure Manual

• Ensure all safety paperwork is completed and returned within expected timeframes

• Ensure all safety paperwork is scanned and uploaded to Asite within expected timeframes

• Ensure that the client receives copies weekly

• Upload delivery tickets to Asite

• Manage the return of the delivery notes from Slingers

Crew Related Tasks

• Daily distribution of Build Packs

• Weekly Safety Paperwork – distribute for completion, manage return, check for accuracy and upload to Asite

• Order and allocation of PPE and upload of handover forms to Asite

• Site Inductions

• Manage the return of delivery notes from Slingers, to be then uploaded to Asite.

• Populate site office noticeboards with information provided from construction admin and as directed by the PM

• Ensure site office noticeboards are kept up to date with the latest information (Labour, Site operative of the month, Site holidays from shared calendar via hub employee portal

General Admin

• Taking meeting minutes in project meetings, in line with PCE’s process

• Supporting on addendums to Method Statements

• Support and management of site personnel accommodation utility bills

• Book meeting rooms, organise refreshments, site passes, and parking where required

• Support absence management by reporting daily absences via PCE’s absence email

• Work with HR to support site employees on the use of The Hub, Exelsys and Office365

• Manage all site IT equipment and phones. Supported by the Business Support Team

• Managing stock of stationery / cleaning equipment etc for site office

• Support Operations Team by managing the receipt of non Asite related deliveries

• Booking in deliveries on Client system

• Support with the collation of Right to Work (RTW) documents as required for subcontract labour

• Manage the coordination of all required site inductions, including required inductions and PPE for visitors

• Managing the closedown of site office in regard to return of all PCE owned items

• Ensure stock of all stationary equipment is acceptable, including required office refreshments

MSite

• Set up of Msite Mini on site at the start of a project

- sorting out any mini-issues with Msite support or reporting issues asap to head office

• Add new employees/subcontractors to site

• Send induction links project specific

• On day 1 with CM/SM/HM ensure profile is complete, correct roles are allocated, all competencies are loaded and right to work is uploaded and verified

- Reporting to HR any issues with Right to works

• Daily audit to ensure everyone on site is signed in and has completed Novade briefing to be sent to BL/JK

• Removal of leavers from site (just need to have site removed not profile)

• Monthly auditing to ensure competencies, medicals and right to works are in date

- liaising with subcontractors/employees to provide updated details when required - Update expiring competencies, medicals and right to works

• Ensure Mini is returned to Head office at the end of a project

Key External Relationships

• Client – ensure the client experience of project management/admin is a positive one, represents PCE in a professional manner at all times

We have an exciting new opportunity at PCE for a lead DMC Project Engineer to work as part of our Projects (DMC)  team.

The Role of a Lead DMC Project Engineer at PCE is key to the successful delivery of our projects through the leadership, management and development of the Project Engineer team.

You will supervise and lead the PE team to enable them to fulfil their role across all areas of project delivery, supporting the team through this key phase of their development to ensure they build knowledge with the appropriate amount of stretch.

You will be responsible for clarity of team focus, delivery of team objectives and day to day support alongside the project teams.

You will ensure that there are clear processes in place that are followed by the team, ensuring consistency of approach, quality and compliance. You will ensure the use of digital systems and the automation of processes (where possible) for efficient and accurate working.

You will be required to use effective communication skills and your technical expertise to support team members at relevant project design, supplier and project meetings where required.

You will coach the team to develop their knowledge of the manufacturing supply chain methodologies and processes, supporting them at supplier inspections/visits.

You will be a mentor for the team regarding site activities, developing their knowledge of construction methods and processes across our build systems.

Location

This is predominantly a Head Office based role, though visits to site and suppliers will be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

Supervise and Lead the team

  • Define team clarity, purpose and goals. Engage the team to work together to be the best DMC Project Engineer delivery team.
  • Ensure there is clarity of roles and responsibilities within the PE team and contributions and accountabilities are clear at all phases of delivery.
  • Have skills matrices in place for each role and individual, and be their development manager, supporting them to build their knowledge, and develop their skills & behaviours.
  • Understand each team members strengths and weaknesses and their ‘pinch points’ at each stage of their projects and support them as appropriate.
  • Encourage them to own their personal learning, progression and success pathway.
  • Make time to get regular team feedback and feedback about the team delivery and act upon it.
  • Engage with other teams internally to bring clarity of responsibility and accountability between teams and aide wider learning and understanding.
  • Have regular one to ones with team members and performance reviews so there is time for reflection, reset, recognition of progress and learning.

Technical Support

  •  Support PE’s at design meetings  where needed, externally with client design teams and internally with PCE design supply chain.
  • Develop the PE teams knowledge of PCE Build Systems, ensure `system thinking`
  •  Quality management – ensure that quality expectations for every design output are met. Support (for example) every new project when the first drawings of each unit type are fully checked for compliance, ensure the PE’s fully understand the importance and the key aspects of the design to look for.

Supply Chain & Construction

  •  Support with supply chain visits with a view to explaining each suppliers methods and processes, carry out checks and inspections as necessary.
  • Assist with supply chain knowledge, mould information, methodologies, practicalities, etc as designs develops, ensure solutions are buildable.
  • Assist with construction knowledge, methodologies, practicalities and processes. Ensure a good level of understanding of safety and buildability are passed onto the team.

Processes and Automation

  • Ensure processes and quality standards are agreed, in place and documented for the team and the PE division.
  • Have a structured approach to auditing the work that the team is completing to ensure processes are working and quality expectations are being met. Amend and improve as required with the team.
  • Look for efficiencies in the way that work is completed whilst not compromising accuracy, compliance and quality.
  • Encourage use of digital systems where appropriate and ensure there is clear understanding of what they do and why they are there. Arrange appropriate training for the team and individuals to be able to use the systems available to them well.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Communication & Collaboration

  • Providing effective and clear communication to all members of the PCE team.
  • Establishing clear lines of communication including good project monitoring and reporting.
  • Liaising with the project stakeholders. Helping to develop good, long-lasting relationships.
  • Liaise with all other project managers in the team, where necessary or required.
  • Attending key stage project reviews and weekly project meeting with the PCE team through all phases of the project:

  • Assisting in the implementation of PCE’s overall strategy for the successful delivery of the project with the Project Manager and Project Director.

Reporting & Monitoring

  • Reporting and liaising with the Project Director and Project Manager on project status, key issues and performance objectives, weekly and monthly.
  • Monitoring the programme, inclusive of milestones, short term programmes, programme logic and critical interdependencies.
  • Assisting in the implementation of project specific processes for monitoring performance, productivity and quality throughout each phase of the project.
  • Monitoring of all protocols and training to keep our digital reporting live and up to date.

Commercial

  • Assisting with commercial management in conjunction with the PM and QS; including establishing and agreeing cash flows, payment milestones and terms & conditions.
  • Subsequent involvement in monitoring PCE’s critical activities, influencing the commercial position and performance of the project inclusive of variations, change control and commercial agreements.
  • Assisting with the processes and procedures for the effective management of all aspects of procurement alongside the Project Director, Project Manager and Commercial Director.

Quality & Standards

  • Monitoring high standards for quality of information, service and the end product
  • Monitoring relevant specifications and standards
  • Accountable for making sure PCEs standards and values are met at all times for site and project office, and for the day to day running

Reporting & Mentoring

  • Reporting and liaising with the Project Director and PCE Board on project status, key issues and performance objectives, weekly and monthly at directors meeting.
  • Progress and programme monitoring/ establishment of the programme, inclusive of milestones, short term programmes, programme logic and critical interdependencies.
  • Establishing, identifying and implementing project specific processes for monitoring performance, productivity and quality throughout each phase of the project.
  • Ensure all protocols and training are in place to keep our digital reporting live and up to date.

Commercial

  • Assisting with commercial management in conjunction with the QS; including establishing and agreeing cash flows, payment milestones and terms & conditions.
  • Subsequently managing PCE’s critical activities, influencing the commercial position and performance of the project inclusive of variations, change control and commercial agreements.
  • Monitoring the processes and procedures for the effective management of all aspects of procurement alongside the Project Director and Commercial Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

Quantity Surveyor

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the designated project specifications, pricing structures, programmes, and contractual conditions, etc, upon which the PCE project offer is based.
  • Review and assist with the negotiation and agreement of the Client/Main Contractor contract documentation.
  • To assist other departments of the PCE team with pre-start planning and programming.
  • Assist with the supplier/subcontractor selection, analysing competitive offers, and helping to ensure the chosen supplier/subcontractor has the appropriate skill set and capability to deliver the works.
  • Place all appropriate supplier/subcontractor orders ensuring that such order documentation provides access to all the required information for the supplier/subcontractor to undertake their work without putting at jeopardy any of the terms, conditions or obligations agreed by PCE with its client.
  • Be responsible for all Supplier/Sub-contract commercial management including variation accounts and processing of requests for payment.
  • Attend external and internal project related meetings, recording all actions, agreements and any unresolved matters.
  • Recording and tracking of progress by internal departments and external suppliers/subcontractors in relation to agreed project programmes.
  • Manage the day to day Company cost control, monitoring and reporting systems including recommending and implementing improvements.
  • Change management control - Identification, communication, costing and assist with resolution of changes to PCE’s agreed scope of works.
  • Analysis of internal reporting systems, design, procurement and construction, including site produced paperwork, giving feedback with regards to quality and content.
  • Provide advice to PCE staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
  • Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations with the client and supply chain as necessary.
  • Communication and liaison with PCE’s client in relation to all of the project’s commercial matters, including the provision and production, in a timely manner, of all necessary information and substantiation of  valuations, final accounts and retention release ensuring receipt of such payments in accordance with the agreed contract.
  • Completion of a monthly cost / valuation report and cash flow for each designated project.

People Management

  • To communicate regularly with all necessary PCE Project staff, ensuring commercial controls are in place, understood and adhered to at all times.

  • Review and management of quality and compliance with the supplier specification issued prior to production commencing. 
  • Production of relevant Novade Documents, Pre and post pour checks for units to verify quality compliance to specification. 
  • Attend, manage and document all sample panel sign offs for each project you are responsible for in conjunction with PM and upload documents to Novade. 
  • Produce weekly Supplier visit reports, for facilities visited. 
  • Audit weekly to make sure all unit cast sheets are up to date and QA issued in line with these units. 
  • Daily monitoring of progress and achievement of project goals and targets. IE quality at the right price. 
  • Produce weekly Delay notices on Novade for any lost production. 
  • Communication of typical details. How the work and the interaction with other elements, either manufactured/fabricated to be integrated with in elements or where other suppliers are manufacturing their adjoining components. 
  • Management, monitoring and the integration of specialist M&E components into the precast elements. Includes liaison and communication to maintain efficient and timely progress and the manufacture of precast. 'First Off' quality inspection - 100%
  • Logistics management: Liaison with the construction team/Logistics coordinator to ensure elements are loaded in timely/logical/safe manner as per the suppliers WGLL documents for loading and PCE load drawings for sequence. 
  • Generation and communication to all departments of NCR's defect notices and quality concerns, including the strategy and methodology for the efficient resolution of any issues to prevent recurrences. 
  • All other reasonable duties required and instructed by the Company.

The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for leading all H&S requirements within a striving construction business, providing full support to onsite project delivery in H&S management.

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Predominantly based at Head Office in Tamworth, Staffordshire, the role will at times require travel to PCE construction sites across the UK and therefore may be required to work away from home on occasion

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

Take full ownership of Health & Safety compliance across all PCE sites and operations, ensuring all activities meet or exceed current UK legislation and industry best practice.

Develop, implement, and maintain robust risk assessments, COSHH assessments, MSDS/TDS, RAMS, and other critical H&S documentation, ensuring these are reviewed and updated regularly.

Plan and carry out regular audits, inspections and reviews of sites, processes and equipment; ensure any non-conformances, near misses or incidents are thoroughly investigated and lessons learned are communicated and embedded.

Lead and chair Health & Safety Committee meetings, sharing performance trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives in line with PCE’s growth and strategic goals.

Work closely with site teams to build a visible, positive safety culture, promoting a “don’t walk by” attitude at all levels of the organisation.

Design and deliver effective H&S inductions for new starters, site teams and subcontractors; support ongoing training and toolbox talks to keep Health & Safety front of mind.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date reporting on all Health & Safety data, analysing trends and providing clear recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team to inform decision-making.

Collaborate with operational and IT teams to enhance digital H&S systems — including reporting dashboards, electronic RAMS, audit logs and training records — ensuring they remain fit for purpose as the business scales.

Partner with HR and line managers to integrate H&S messages into wider employee engagement activities, including recognition schemes that reward safe working practices.

Support emergency preparedness by ensuring robust response plans (fire, environmental, severe weather) are in place, tested and clearly communicated to teams.

Act as a trusted advisor and visible leader, setting high standards, supporting colleagues to achieve them, and championing a culture of accountability and care.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS

Strong technical knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, ideally with experience applying it in modern construction methods, MMC and DfMA environments.

NEBOSH qualified (minimum requirement); additional relevant certifications are desirable.

Demonstrable experience (5+ years) in a senior Health & Safety role within construction, manufacturing or an equivalent high-risk industry.

Proven ability to plan, implement and monitor effective H&S systems and processes at both operational and strategic levels.

Excellent auditing, investigation and reporting skills — able to turn data into clear insights and practical actions.

Confident communicator with the credibility to influence and engage colleagues, subcontractors and senior stakeholders.

Organised and proactive — works ahead of issues, champions continuous improvement and drives accountability.

High emotional intelligence, with the ability to motivate, support and mentor team members.

Strong team player who lives PCE’s core values and actively contributes to a positive, supportive working culture.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to sites as needed.
