Education requirements & skills:

  • College/University Diploma/Degree
  • Fluent in English
  • Previous Hotel Operations background will be considered as an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of hotel systems (POS, Stock Control, Time recording System)
  • Basic IT knowledge

        The role of a Restaurant Captain is critical in creating a positive dining experience for guests, managing the restaurant's front-of-house operations, and ensuring the smooth collaboration of staff across various departments.

         Responsibilities

        • Welcome guests upon arrival and ensure a positive first impression.
        • Have an in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods.
        • Ensure that food and beverages are delivered promptly and meet quality standards.
        • Supervise and coordinate the activities of wait staff and other front-of-house personnel.

          Responsibilities

          • Ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained throughout the dining experience.
          • Supervise and coordinate the work of front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and sometimes bartenders.
          • Provide leadership, training, and support to ensure that staff delivers exceptional customer service.
          • Oversee the setup and organization of the dining room, ensuring that tables are properly set, and the ambience meets the restaurant's standards.

                    Responsibilities

                    • Lead, manage, recruit, train, and supervise bar staff.
                    • Provide training and ongoing support to ensure staff is well-prepared for their roles.
                    • Develop and manage the bar budget.
                    • Ensure that drinks are prepared according to established recipes and standards.
                    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including those related to alcohol service and safety.
                    • Oversee the ordering and management of bar supplies, including beverages, glassware, and garnishes.
                    • Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize profitability.

                     Requirements

                    • Previous experience in bartending or bar management.
