QC Laboratory Technician

 

Position Summary

The Quality Control Technician is responsible to carry out the necessary test on incoming materials, during production and on finished products.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 

1.       To carry out tests on plant and on site to the relevant National/European/International Standard or any other Standard specified by the client and fill all relevant physical and digital forms.

2.       Reports to the Quality Manager and/or to the quality section, the outcome of the tests. Technician shall always flags any anomalies as soon as they are discovered.

3.       To keep continual contact with the respective head of sections, test product and prepare the relevant releasing form.

4.       To liaison with Head of Quality Control about works programme and sample concrete from different sites.

5.       To test any incoming materials such as sand, aggregates and cement and outgoing products such as fresh/hardened concrete, bricks and any other construction products to the relevant National/European/International Standard.

6.       Prepare and Perform trial mixes.

7.       Work out all necessary calculations and enter all the data / results into our QA systems to BS EN ISO 9001:2015.

8.       Ensures that all laboratory equipment is kept clean, in working order and in its allocated storage.

9.       Ensures that equipment is calibrated and maintained.

10.  Ensures that safety regulations are strictly followed.

Level of Education Standard & Experience Required

 

MQF LEVEL 1 SCHOOL LEAVING CERTIFICATE

LANGUAGES- WRITTEN/SPOKEN - Fluent in English and/or Maltese
