Position Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed land and building surveys, ensuring precise measurements, and providing critical data for the planning, design, and construction of various structures. This role requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, attention to detail, and collaboration with key project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1. Survey Existing Structures: Conduct detailed surveys of existing building structures, identifying key features and potential challenges.
2. Land Feature Analysis: Survey and map land features, including natural terrain, boundaries, and ground levels, to support project planning and design.
3. Construction Layout: Set out and align proposed civil engineering structures with high accuracy, including foundations, columns, and walls, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications.
4. Setting Out Structural Components: Set out and mark critical components of the structure, including holding down bolts, corners, wall thicknesses, door openings, and directions for apartment layouts and other building types.
5. Specialized Surveying: Conduct various types of land surveys, including those for tunnelling, marine construction, high-rise towers, division of plots, and archaeological sites.
6. Volume and Area Calculations: Calculate areas and volumes from surveyed or excavated land to aid in project planning and cost estimation.
7. Staircases and Ramps: Accurately set out staircases (straight, curved, spiral) and garage ramps in accordance with architectural plans.
8. Public Authority Liaison: Work closely with Public Authority surveyors to ensure project alignment adheres to official markings and regulations.
9. Site Coordination: Collaborate with the Site Foreman and construction teams to communicate and verify set-out marks and levels for accurate and timely project execution.
10. Quality Assurance: Ensure all surveys and set-out points meet the highest standards of accuracy and comply with safety regulations and project requirements.

Level of Education Standard & Experience Required
LICENCES/CERTIFICATES REQUIRED – Valid driving licence
YEARS OF WORKING EXPERIENCE – minimum 5 years

LANGUAGES- WRITTEN/SPOKEN - strong communication skills in English
