Freelance Quantity Surveyor

POSITION SUMMARY

The Quantity Surveyor will work on post-contract work on a variety of construction projects, both civil and finishing works in conjunction with the respective Project Manager and Post-Contract Manager.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Measuring on-site (with the Employer’s representative) and/or from latest construction drawings (as stipulated in the Contract) works executed for the preparation of monthly interim payment applications.
  • Submission to the Employer’s representative monthly interim payments within the time frame stipulated in the Contract or as requested by the Post-Contract Manager.
  • Follow-up on monthly interim payment applications with the Employer’s representative so to ensure that interim payment certificates and payments are issued and made within the time frame stipulated in the Contract.
  • Measuring (on site) and issue of payment applications to subcontractors on monthly intervals unless agreed otherwise with the Post-Contract Manager.
  • Review of drawings, instructions, and other documents to identify variations.
  • Pricing of variations and review with Post-Contract Manager prior to submittal to Employer’s representative
  • Attend regular site meetings with the Project/Site Manager and/or the Post-Contract Manager.
  • Attend meetings with the Employer’s representative when required.
  • Assist the Post-Contract Manager and/or the Project/Site Manager to prepare monthly cost reports.
  • Prepare and submit applications for final account and assist in the resolution of final accounts

Senior Project Manager - Civil Works

POSITION SUMMARY

Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for the management of the execution plan to reach the organization’s objectives including Commercial, Quality and Safety measures.  The ideal candidate should be an architect by profession with extensive technical skills and experience in project management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of Execution Plan
  • Accomplish timely understanding of the Contract, Scope of Work and overall plans and Budgets
  • Determine the project activities requirements and design the process to ensure that the sequence and interaction of the activities and resources will achieve the project objectives

Land Surveyor

Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting detailed land and building surveys, ensuring precise measurements, and providing critical data for the planning, design, and construction of various structures. This role requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, attention to detail, and collaboration with key project stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Survey Existing Structures: Conduct detailed surveys of existing building structures, identifying key features and potential challenges.     

2. Land Feature Analysis: Survey and map land features, including natural terrain, boundaries, and ground levels, to support project planning and design.              

3. Construction Layout: Set out and align proposed civil engineering structures with high accuracy, including foundations, columns, and walls, ensuring all work aligns with project specifications.  

4. Setting Out Structural Components: Set out and mark critical components of the structure, including holding down bolts, corners, wall thicknesses, door openings, and directions for apartment layouts and other building types.          

5. Specialized Surveying: Conduct various types of land surveys, including those for tunnelling, marine construction, high-rise towers, division of plots, and archaeological sites.

6. Volume and Area Calculations: Calculate areas and volumes from surveyed or excavated land to aid in project planning and cost estimation.   

7. Staircases and Ramps: Accurately set out staircases (straight, curved, spiral) and garage ramps in accordance with architectural plans.           

8. Public Authority Liaison: Work closely with Public Authority surveyors to ensure project alignment adheres to official markings and regulations.

9. Site Coordination: Collaborate with the Site Foreman and construction teams to communicate and verify set-out marks and levels for accurate and timely project execution.

Skilled Labourer - Fit-Outs

Position Summary

A position is available for a skilled labourer experienced in finishing / fit-out trades and minor construction or alteration works. The role involves carrying out a wide range of tasks across multiple finishing disciplines.

Key duties include surface preparation and assisting with plastering, tiling, painting, installation of fixtures and fittings, and other finishing activities. Additional responsibilities may include basic site preparation, mixing materials, and maintaining clean, safe, and hazard-free work areas.

The skilled labourer will support qualified tradespeople during finishing and fit-out works, safely handle materials, and operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and light machinery. The role may also require assembling and dismantling scaffolding or temporary structures to support finishing operations.

Applicants should have previous experience in interior finishing and fit-out trades such as plastering, tiling, painting, or carpentry, along with a sound understanding of minor construction practices. Strong physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in varying site conditions are essential.

The primary objective of this role is to contribute to the timely, safe, and high-quality completion of finishing and fit-out projects, ensuring consistent workmanship and attention to detail at every stage.

Position Summary

The Quantity Surveyor will play a critical role in managing the financial, contractual and commercial aspects of projects.

Project Manager - Architect

Position Summary

The Project Architect & Construction Project Manager is responsible for leading both the design and technical development of construction projects as well as the planning, coordination, and execution of on site construction activities. This hybrid role ensures that architectural intent, regulatory requirements, engineering inputs, and construction processes are aligned from concept to completion.

This role combines design oversight, construction administration, site supervision, contractor coordination, and regulatory compliance across civil construction projects.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Project Planning & Design Coordination          

Interpret project objectives and translate client requirements into architectural and technical project documentation.

Develop, review, and approve construction drawings, specifications, CAD plans, and related technical documents.  

Conduct feasibility studies, site analyses, and assist in defining project scope, timelines, and execution strategies.

Production Machine Operator

Position Summary 

The production operator is responsible for providing physical labour support during all phases of production. They provide a broad range of support in areas, such as, technical work, moving materials, shovelling and basic equipment operation.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Load, unload and move construction materials around the Plant.

2. Clear work areas by removing debris and hazardous materials and make them ready for Plant operation.

3. Ensure that all tools and equipment are ready and available at the beginning of each shift so that plant can begin it work on time.

4. Inspect for damages to equipment and machinery. Reporting to Foreman / Assistant.

5. Arrange for materials such as bricks, moulds, tools and equipment as is necessary.

6. Load and unload materials to and from plant / storage, ensuring that they are safely moved to storage / plant by using equipment such as fork lifters, trucks etc.

7. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance when necessary. in the same way the change of moulds when needed.

8. Clean up work sites, housekeeping.

9. Report all accidents or near misses, and injuries, no matter how slight, that occur on the job to Head of Department / Health & Safety Official.

10. Wear personal protective equipment when working in hazardous areas, and/or as required.

11. Inspect all equipment prior to use and report any unsafe conditions to the immediate supervisor.

12. Ensure that you are in good health and not under the influence of alcohol and / or drugs, when performing your work.

Position Summary

The Electrical Plant Technician will have a sound technical and academic background in this field with a proven track record.  Must posses Electrical licence A and B.

They will assist the Engineering Manager with installation, repairs and maintenance of electric and electronic equipment within the Production Plant. They will also assist with mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic installations as necessary

·       Repair existing electrical installation in both single and three phase.

Position Summary

The Operations Manager – Fit-Out is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of fit-out projects to ensure they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role supports the Head of Fit-Out by managing operational teams, optimizing resources, and ensuring effective project delivery across multiple sites.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1.0) Operational Oversight of Fit-Out Projects                                                                                                

Manage the day-to-day operations of multiple fit-out projects, ensuring that work is executed according to project plans, schedules, and specifications while maintaining efficiency and productivity across all sites.  

2.0) Project Planning and Coordination

Collaborate with project managers, site managers, and design teams to develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure the smooth execution of interior fit-out works.  

3.0) Team Leadership and Performance Management

Lead and support site managers, foremen, and operational staff, providing direction, mentorship, and performance oversight to ensure teams meet operational objectives and maintain high standards of workmanship.  

4.0) Resource and Logistics Management

Coordinate the allocation of labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure optimal resource utilization and minimize project delays or disruptions.              

5.0) Budget and Cost Control

Monitor operational costs and project expenditures, ensuring projects remain within budget by identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing variations, and supporting financial forecasting. While not a primary responsibility, the role may also contribute to the preparation of quotations or tender submissions, either indirectly through the provision of operational input or directly when required.              

6.0) Client and Stakeholder Coordination

Act as a key operational contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of project-related issues.             

 

7.0) Risk Management and Problem Resolution

Identify potential operational risks and project challenges early, implementing mitigation strategies and proactive solutions to maintain project momentum.

8.0) Reporting and Strategic Support

Provide regular operational reports, performance metrics, and project updates to the Head of Fit-Out, contributing to strategic planning, operational improvements, and business growth initiatives.

Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all fit-out works meet design specifications, client expectations, and industry standards.
