Position Summary
Civil Engineer is to focus on planning, designing and overseeing the construction and maintenance of public and private structures.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
1.0 Receive Project objectives and interpret information to develop the Project
2.0 Performs site inspections, condition reports and any other documents in conjunction with building works
3.0 Read, Interpret, and generate drawings (in CAD format), hand sketches structural calculations, budgets, programme of works and specifications.
4.0 Conduct quality control inspections to ensure standards in workmanship are being met
5.0 Review, certify take offs and payment certificates
6.0 Review, certify take offs and payment certificates
7.0 Draft tender documents and assist in filling of tenders thro’ preparation of necessary documents, method statements and other technical write ups etc.
8.0 Liaise with Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, and other Architectural and engineering Professionals as the case may be on a project.
9.0 Expand knowledge of building materials and take active role in proposing innovative materials on projects.
10.0 Quality and Continual Improvement
10.1 Carry out duties with attention to quality and contribute to the continual improvement of work processes

11.1 Maintain a safe and healthy working environment by following all health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices, and promptly reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses

Level of Education Standard & Experience Required
- MQF LEVEL 7 (MASTERS)
- FIELDS OF STUDY - Architecture and Civil Engineering
- LICENCES/CERTIFICATES REQUIRED - 5 years
- TYPE OF WORKING EXPERIENCE - Architectural or Project Management
- LANGUAGES- WRITTEN/SPOKEN - strong communication skills in English
