BDO is happy to announce the release of its school-leaver program that is designed to provide school leavers a combination of work experience, professional training and professional qualifications that ensures your success. During the first two years you should obtain the CFAB qualification of the ICAEW. At the end of this you decide whether you wish to continue as a trainee under either our ACCA or our ACA trainee program together with our university graduates. Throughout this you will receive a salary and we will pay for your professional training courses and exam fees.

The candidates are expected to have good academic background. The candidate can be graduate, non – graduate or currently attending a master’s degree.

The proposed training program will be from one to three months.

Will be assigned to the selected students the following duties:

• Audit planning using the Audit Process Tool program (APT) and Caseware program,
• Preparing documents for client acceptance-re-acceptance,
• Updating clients’ permanent files with all the documents required for AML purposes and make sure that all KYC documents are up to date,
• Updating clients’ information in Ebos (AML program),
• Audit of dormant companies,
• Completion process of the audits completed,
• Visit client’s offices for vouching purposes,
• Preparation of the packages with the final accounts to be sent to clients,
• Liaising with different departments of the firm in order to facilitate the audit and accounting process,
• Bank and creditors’ reconciliations,
• Posting journal entries.

Depending on candidates’ performance contract can potentially lead to an offer for full time employment.

AML ASSISTANT

The Role

You will be an essential member of our audit team, working closely with the Compliance Department to provide vital support to audit staff and help us effectively serve a broad range of clients by:

• Carrying out client acceptance, reacceptance, and risk assessment procedures.
• Gathering KYC documentation to accurately support client profiles.
• Conducting AML and other compliance procedures as legally required.
• Understanding and documenting clients' business and economic profiles.
• Identifying compliance-related risks and providing solutions to mitigate them.
• Assisting with independence and conflict-of-interest assessments as needed.
• Executing other compliance-related tasks as necessary.
• Collaborating closely with the Compliance Department.

Key responsibilities

The Requirements

The ideal candidate would be:

• a graduate or school leaver with a strong academic background in finance, business and/or mathematics subjects, or
