The Role

You will be an integral member of our audit team assisting us serve a wide range of clients. You will assist us:

  • in carrying out our client acceptance and risk assessment procedures.
  • understanding the client’s business
  • identifying risk matters and planning the audit work
  • execution of audit and other assurance work
  • preparing tax computations
  • preparing reports

Key responsibilities

  • Understand and utilize the BDO methodology
  • Perform your work diligently
  • Build your technical knowledge and skills and ensure your professional development paying proper attention to passing your professional exams
  • Build your soft skills that you will use to assist in the development of others within the firm and eventually in the firm’s business

The Requirements

  • University degree with grade 2:1 or equivalent
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English languages
  • Ambition and motivation to become a qualified ACA/ACCA
  • Genuine interest in business

Successful candidates will be provided training contracts to train and become either chartered accountants (ACA) or chartered certified accountants (ACCA) depending on their academic background and preference.

Our International Private Clients and Business Services and Outsourcing Department in Nicosia is currently seeking to recruit a junior Corporate Administrator to join our corporate team.

This role is crucial for ensuring the effective and efficient management of the daily activities of our clients. The ideal candidate should possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks with precision.

The Requirements

·  Pleasant personality and strong ability to manage tasks, maintain order, and interact effectively with others. 

·    Commitment to accuracy and thorough approach to all tasks and documentation. 

·      Excellent command of the English language.

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·   Sound computer skills and expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other relevant software packages. 

The Role

·   Liaise with clients and assistance with the implementation of their day-to-day operations.

· Serve as a point of contact for clients and external parties, managing their administrative requests and providing support. 

·    Draft and review a variety of corporate documents, such as board resolutions, PoAs, annual returns, Registrar forms, etc.

·     Draft minutes and basic corporate documents.

·  Liaise with banks for account openings, prepare bank forms and questionnaires, and assist with the implementation of payment instructions. 

·  Assist with the maintenance of clients’ corporate registers and corporate records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. 

·   Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and policies and managing KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation.

·      Assist with preparing and submitting statutory documentation.

·      Liaise with external parties and government agencies.

·  Act as a point of contact between internal teams and external partners, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.

· Handle statutory submissions and filings with the Registrar of Companies. 

·      Assist with general Corporate Administration matters.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

·  Lead financial analysis, including assessment of financial position, liquidity, and cash flow forecasting

 

· Drive restructuring and turnaround engagements, including drafting and implementing restructuring and debt settlement plans

· Prepare business plans, expansion strategies, and advisory proposals for clients

·    Conduct independent business reviews, performance monitoring, and viability assessments

·   Develop financial models, perform business valuations, and advise on capital structure

·  Provide advisory support on Cyprus insolvency matters, including involvement in liquidations and receiverships

·   Advise on pricing, costing, and profitability optimization strategies

The Requirements

The successful applicant should be a newly qualified professional accountant (ACA/ACCA) with excellent verbal, technical, analytical and communication skills who is driven to learn and to progress quickly. Prior involvement and/or experience on the below would be considered an advantage:

  •       Experience in restructuring, insolvency, or corporate finance
  •    Understanding of Cyprus insolvency framework (corporate and personal)
  •          Financial modeling and analytical capabilities
  •       Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and manage complex assignments
