Pafilia is looking to recruit a Foreman for a large project in Paphos.

The successful candidate will be in close collaboration with the project site engineer, plan and oversee the daily operations in the execution of the construction activities, monitor the quality of work, control materials receipts, and closely monitor all the sub-contractors.

Location: Paphos

Main responsibilities:
• Plan weekly and daily work based on the project plan
• Monitor and report work input by subcontractors and own personnel
• Receive materials and check quality and quantity according to specs and purchase orders.
• Assist the project site engineer with the keeping of records
• Monitor and support the work of subcontractors with the aim of delivering the highest possible workmanship within the project timeframes
• Allocate work and guide the execution of work by Pafilia own personnel.
• Monitor work hours, work ethics, and work performance by Pafilia personnel
• Ensure adherence to Health & Safety guidelines
• Monitor site security
• Monitor the correct use of equipment, the condition of equipment and degree of utilization and assess needs for additional equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of materials and equipment on the site.
• Identify areas of waste and provide suggestions for their elimination
• Provide suggestions to the project site engineer for practical measures to improve Health & Safety performance, site security, and more effective handling of disciplinary issues among workers.

Necessary qualifications:
• 10+ years relevant experience in construction projects.  Experience in Cyprus Construction projects preferred

Responsibilities:
• Ensure that Customer Care standards are carried out with strict adherence to Quality Assurance procedures and accurate customer records are kept
• Ensure that regular, timely, and effective communication is maintained with all customers
• Ensure that accurate information is held regarding the progress of projects and projected completion dates
• Proactively monitor any design changes to projects, assess how they may affect specific customers, and ensure that customers are diligently informed of any changes that may affect them

• Monitor customer interactions and response times to issues that may arise, and ensure that appropriate action is taken to improve response times
• Periodically review Standard Practice Instructions, Work Procedures, and Forms to improve service effectiveness and Total Customer Satisfaction

Necessary requirements:
• University degree and Master degree in Business or other related field
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar role, at least 5 years in customer relationship management role
• Property industry knowledge is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and oral
• Excellent Computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Prepare creative briefs, work closely with designers and manage production process from concept to final product creation
  • Monitor the content of all marketing materials to ensure they are kept up-to-date.
  • Prepare any necessary presentations as requested
  • Help source content and information for the Minthis and Pafilia newsletters

  • Help organise photography and video shoots to provide regular updates on all projects progress
  • Organise the translations of presentations, brochures, flyer and other materials as required

Construction Manager

Pafilia is seeking to recruit a Construction Manager for a large project in Paphos.  Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the Construction Manager plans, controls, and monitors the actual execution of all related works of the project, to ensure that the project will be done in accordance with all the approved construction drawings, contract documents, specifications, health and safety guidelines and all applicable standards.

Location: Paphos

Main responsibilities:

  • Study the architectural, structural and other drawings and the specification, identify problems/ areas for clarification, and ensure that foremen and subcontractors involved are sufficiently informed. Collaborate with the Project Manager, the Architects and the consultants for the effective supervision of the works
  • Confirm compatibility of site conditions with designs (soil, drainage, slopes and levels, access, environmental sensitivity, other constraints) prior to the commencement of works
  • Prepare execution project plans and contingency plans for the construction and delivery of the project within agreed schedule and project budget
  • Assess quality of materials and the performance of materials suppliers of the project.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety guidelines
  • Ensure regulatory compliance during project execution
  • Ensure that accurate inventory records of materials and equipment are kept
  • Assess the performance of foremen

Quantity Surveyor

Pafilia is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and growing team. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Project Manager and will be assigned Quantity Surveying related tasks.   Measuring, preparing and monitoring the bill of quantities for new and ongoing progress of Pafilia Development Projects. Approval of valuations for subcontracting works and payments.

Location: Limassol or Paphos

Main Responsibilities:

  • Measurements and preparations of bills of quantities and estimates for parts or the whole of construction works in relation to the company’s building construction development projects.
  • Measurements of site construction activities.
  • Preparation of monthly valuations, liaison with contractors and sub-contractors on works executed.
  • Preparation of Actual vs Budget reports during project execution
  • Preparation of Final Accounts regarding final total cost to initial budgets
  • Assist the Construction Team in regards to project QS issues.
  • Support of the project execution team in regards to any quantity surveying issues.
  • Assist the tendering procedures with subcontractors and preparation of the relevant contracts.
  • Handle any other relevant to QS duties and responsibilities relevant to the project as assigned by the Project Manager.

 

Necessary requirements:

  • University degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil engineering
  • Experience of at least 7-10 years as a site and/or office QS. Experience on high-end residential buildings projects will be considered an advantage.
  • Ability to measure, review and handle complex specifications and quantities in regards to architectural, structural and MEP drawings, material specifications and construction works.
  • Good planning, organizational, leading and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent public relations, presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and work independently in a fast paced environment
