As part of our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients, we are looking to strengthen our Clients Accounting & Bookkeeping Department with a highly skilled Clients Bookkeeping Supervisor. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our clients’ financial records while maintaining high standards of customer service.

 

Main Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial records of our clients while ensuring seamless service delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and updating clients' accounting records, as well as reviewing and supervising the work of other team members.
  • Supporting external auditors during audit preparations and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional departments to enhance the client experience.
  • Reviewing and submitting VAT/VIES returns and other necessary declarations to the Tax Department on behalf of clients.
  • Providing advisory support to clients on financial matters, ensuring compliance with VAT and tax regulations.
  • Assisting with financial reporting and ensuring accurate and timely completion of all client accounting tasks.
  • Handling client inquiries professionally, offering prompt and effective solutions to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Performing additional related duties to support the smooth operation of the department.

 

The Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A newly or partially qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA) will be considered an advantage.
  • 5-7 years of experience in client-focused accounting services.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in Intelisoft Aphrodite accounting software and Caseware will be considered an advantage.
  • A strong understanding and practical experience in VAT and Tax Law.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement effective solutions promptly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English to ensure clear client interactions.
  • A proactive approach with a customer-centric mindset, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts efficiently.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling clients’ financial information.

The position

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects and interesting cases and will be responsible to:

 

  • Draft and execute legal documentation for court proceedings (Recourses, written submissions, objections etc)
  • Appear and represent clients before the Administrative Court, Supreme Court of Cyprus and the Tender’s Review Authority.
  • Liaise and negotiate for the benefit of clients with court and any other authorities
  • Perform legal research and draft legal opinions on public law matters.

 

 

The Requirements

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

 

  • Law Degree from a recognised University
  • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association
  • At least 2 years’ post qualification experience in Administrative Law litigation
  • Familiar with Administrative court rules and procedures 
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to assume responsibility, conduct research and undertake projects
  • Strong computer literacy
