As part of our continuous growth and development, we are currently looking to enrich our Corporate departments, at our offices in Limassol, with exceptionally talented Corporate Lawyers, in the fields of Corporate & Commercial law, Banking and Finance and Financial Services.

Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidates will deal with complex, high-value cross-border projects with demanding timetables and have the following main responsibilities:

 Corporate & Commercial Lawyer position:

• Provide legal advice to new and existing clients on corporate and commercial matters
• Draft, negotiate and review commercial agreements
• Negotiate and manage various contracts and transactional documents
• Prepare statutory documents for companies
• Draft legal opinions and legal memos on corporate, commercial and contract law issues
• Prepare and conduct KYC and ensure compliance with AML legislation
• Build and sustain client relationships and provide quality client service and support
• Assist with business development activities and contribute to the growth and success of the team
• Anticipate the challenges clients are likely to face and act proactively

Banking and Finance Lawyer position:

• Offer clients a breadth and depth of expert advice in the area of banking and finance law
• Service the increasingly complex and time-critical requirements of international financing transactions
• Assist clients to navigate the Cyprus legal system across the whole spectrum of banking and finance transactions including and not restricted to:

• • project finance and asset finance
  • financing of international trade, negotiable instruments and related matters
  • drafting and negotiating security documents for the purposes of securing the financing
  • construction and project financing; finance leasing
  • legal opinions and legal due diligence
• Provide clients with the highest quality of specialised advice on the Cyprus law aspects of loan and security transactions
• Liaise with market-leading international businesses and organisations for their most important banking and finance affairs
• Build and sustain client trust and provide flawless expert advice on a timely manner
• Develop and support business development activities and contribute to growth
• Anticipate the banking and finance challenges clients are likely to face and act proactively
• Manage a team of junior lawyers and be responsible for their training and development

Financial Services Lawyer position:

• Assist clients to navigate the increasingly complex Cyprus and EU legal and regulatory framework governing the financial services sector
• Provide expert legal advice in all legal and regulatory matters in banking, investment services and capital markets regulation and the funds sector
• Liaise with wide spectrum of clients including domestic, EU and non-EU credit and financial institutions, investment firms, collective investment vehicles, corporations and high net worth individuals

• Develop and support business development activities and contribute to growth
• Anticipate challenges clients are likely to face and act proactively
• Manage a team of junior lawyers and be responsible for their training and development

Main Requirements

The successful candidates should meet the following requirements:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Law
• More than 3 years of hands-on experience in a corporate legal position
• Strong legal knowledge of one or more of the following sectors: corporate and commercial law, contract law, financial services, banking
• Familiar with a wide range of sectors and industries
• Understanding of the legal and practical requirements of the main destinations for investment from Cyprus
• Ability to work effectively within a complex global group and a fast-paced business environment
• Acquire commercial awareness and market intelligence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language – additional languages will be considered an advantage
• Technology oriented, strong computer literacy and excellent knowledge of all Microsoft office applications
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, professional discipline and willingness to assume responsibility
• Outstanding managerial and negotiation skills
• Be an ambassador of the firm by portraying its values and demonstrating a professional stand at all times
