Operations Control Officer

Reporting to the Head of Operations Control, the Operations Control Officer is responsible for controlling, coordinating, and supervising the Tus Airways flight operations, providing support, briefing and assistance to the Commander in the safe conduct of the flight operations.

This position plays a vital role in the achievement of Tus Airways Safety, Security, Compliance and on Time Performance targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall oversight of OCC activities during his shift.
  • Assisting the Commander in flight preparation, providing operational information, preparing the operational and ATS flight plans, and filing the ATS flight plan with the appropriate ATS unit.
  • Providing the Commander, while in flight, with appropriate information that may be necessary for the safe conduct of the flight.
  • Analysing operational conditions and identifying any opportunities that may impede or benefit operational capabilities, including, but not limited to, weather, facilities, Air Traffic Control, and aircraft performance.
  • Analysing operational and meteorological conditions to evaluate and determine the safest and most efficient minimum fuel required for the flight.
  • Providing, when requested or deemed necessary, the Commander with a thorough and professional flight crew briefing, covering all significant information which may impact the operation of his flight.
  • Soliciting, interpreting, and maintaining current flight and airfield conditions reports to provide flight crews with the latest operational information.
  • In the event of an emergency, initiates procedures as outlined in the CRPM, while avoiding taking any action that would conflict with ATC procedures.
  • In the event of an emergency, conveys, by all available means, safety-related information to the Commander that may be necessary for the safe conduct of the flight, including information related to any amendments to the flight plan that become necessary during flight.
  • Taking all necessary actions in case of emergencies, accidents, or incidents.
  • Monitoring the progress of flights, and taking suitable action in case of diversions, flight delays, and unfavourable weather reports at departure and destination airfields, thereby minimizing the reactionary effects on day-to-day operations.
  • Updating daily the Crew Flight and Duty time database.
  • Informing the Director of Flight Operations, or his deputy, of any discretion reports.
  • Ensuring that a “Flight Watch” is maintained on the operations of all Company aircraft.
  • Monitoring and implementing changes to aircraft mass and balance information in the software database and/or other relevant documents required for flight.
  • Ensuring that the flight and crew schedule is in accordance with the Company’s flight time limitations.
  • Initial screening of Flight Reports, and taking any necessary immediate action, as required.
  • Ensure understanding of commitment to and compliance with the TUS Safety, Security and Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all safety, security, and compliance requirements are observed.
  • Comply with EASA regulations, Cyprus DCA requirements, Company standards and procedures and local laws and regulations in all locations where operations are conducted.

Operations Control Navigation and Performance Officer

Operations Control Navigation and Performance Officer

Reporting to the Head of Operations Control, the OCC Navigation and Performance Officer is responsible for the daily flight planning, route optimization, new routes feasibility studies, aircraft performance analysis to constantly improve efficiency of current flight operations, as well providing support, briefing and assistance to the Commander in the safe conduct of the flight operations.

This position plays a vital role in the achievement of Tus Airways Safety, Security, Compliance   and on Time Performance targets.

Responsibilities:

The Navigation Officer is responsible for:

  • Preparation and submission of ATS flight plans
  • Preparation of Operational Flight Plans
  • Providing necessary information to crew
  • Monitoring flight operations and where the safety of a flight is in doubt, advise the Duty Manager to initiate the necessary actions
  • Carrying out and monitoring the daily program
  • Handling CTOTs through CFMU and/or NOP portal
  • Monitoring Weather/NOTAMS for changes/updates
  • Collecting and evaluating information of irregular circumstances to secure optimal decisions making (weather information, airport availability)
  • Ensuring suitable take off alternate airport is selected and specified in the OFP whenever either the weather conditions at the airport of departure are at or below the applicable airport landing minima
  • Ensuring flights are planned not to exceed maximum performance and structural take-off and landing weight limits based upon environmental conditions expected at the time of departure and arrival
  • Liaising with staff and agencies at outstations on all matters concerning Company navigational requirements
  • Calculating Fuel Requirements for flights in accordance with the provisions of the OM’s

Information Security Manager is a senior member with a critical role in ensuring the security and operational excellence of TUS Airways. The Information Security Manager manages and directs all aspects of TUS Airways’s cybersecurity strategy and program, ensuring the security and secure integration of technical applications as well as the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of TUS Airways data and client data entrusted to the TUS Airways. The Information Security Manager is a core member of the TUS Airways’s incident response team and plays a leading role in ensuring preparedness and world-class response to security events.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Cybersecurity Governance and Risk Management

  • Develops and implements the TUS Airways’s comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, reflecting the TUS Airways’s operational drivers and desired business outcomes, risk tolerance, and evolving risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
  • Develops senior leader awareness and buy-in of cybersecurity program and initiatives, including reporting to leadership on cyber initiatives and strategy, program assessments, changes to risk profiles, and specific events.
  • Establishes, with senior leaders, cyber risk thresholds and risk management approach.
  • Builds and implements cyber risk quantification and risk prioritization of initiatives.
  • Develops protocols to periodically review the appropriateness of the cybersecurity program, inclusive of administrative and technical controls and processes, with such review to include risk assessments, industry standard compliance reviews, and periodic, risk-based penetration testing.

Cybersecurity Program Management

  • Oversees people, processes, and technology at all levels of the cybersecurity program to enable global operations.
  • Develops and maintains all relevant information security policies and procedures, including for network infrastructure, specific applications, and services.
  • Develops and maintains designated risk-based cyber safeguards, including access controls, MFA, encryption, asset classification, change management, patch management, network segmentation, firewalls, detection technologies including network and endpoint security, insider threat protection, logging and network monitoring, and vulnerability management.
  • Develops secure lifecycle processes and operations, reflecting risk, threat, and vulnerability identification.
  • Ensures continuous monitoring of the threat landscape and modify security technologies and procedures as appropriate.

  • Ensures appropriate tactical incident response protocols and processes to detect, respond, and remediate cybersecurity events.
  • Oversees investigation capability, to include leveraging internal and external forensics and evidence collection and preservation as appropriate.
  • Maintains TUS Airways Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) Response Plan, and serves as lead member of disaster recovery team.

  • Expert level knowledge of developing and implementing defense-in-depth security program, including installing, deploying, documenting, and troubleshooting network perimeter security technologies such as firewalls, proxy servers, intrusion prevention/detection (IDS/IPS), anti-virus, anti-malware, and unified threat management (UTM).

IT Service Desk Analyst

Working in an operation/support environment, resolving complex issues raised internally, the IT service Desk Analyst is responsible for analysing incidents and making recommendations to the technical team that will help reduce the number of recurring incidents, as well as to ensure that IT service operations remain within agreed service levels and minimize the adverse impact on business operations by proactively monitoring identifying and highlighting issues and risks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Addresses customer issues and resolves incidents and problems to provide a superior service to our customers both internal to TUS AIRWAYS and external to the Group. Ensuring that the service provided is in line with the specific qualitative and/or quantitative targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Receives, classifies, registers, monitors, prioritizes, escalates and follows-up as a first point of contact on requests for technical assistance from users.
  • Initiates and facilitates the following ITIL processes: Incident Management, Request Fulfillment, Access Management, Problem Management, and Knowledge Management.
  • Analyzes trend of reported incidents related to various technology and platform and provide solutions to our customers enabling them to resume their work with a minimum disruption and within the agreed Service Level Objectives, KPIs and targets set.
  • Coordinates with application vendors and service providers (both TUS AIRWAYS teams providing a service and external organizations like SITA, BT, etc.) to ensure both the quick resolution of incidents and problems and the smooth running of our departmental and global operations
  • Drives Continuous Improvement by proactively identifying & highlighting issues and risks that may impact the services provided by TUS AIRWAYS .
  • Follows process & procedures in line with the TUS AIRWAYS Carries out knowledge transfer sessions within the team thus encouraging the culture of continuous learning & knowledge sharing.
  • Provides input to and co-ordinates with technical teams to reduce number of recurring incidents (including security threats), to increase system availability and to reduce business impact in case of system failure as well as provide feedback to improve the automation of root cause analysis within the monitoring tools.
  • Follows-up with external technical and non-technical support organizations including 3rd parties until incident/request resolution/fulfilment.
  • Provides relevant feedback to technical, application and project team's developers to ensure fast incident/problem resolution.
  • Ensures large deployment projects and upgrades are carried out using best practices as outlined in the departmental Work Practices. 
  • Managerial Escalations – escalating incidents/service requests that are at risk of failing or have failed agreed SLAs/OLAs, or that are out of scope, which may include 3rd Parties or internal roles (e.g., Service Manager, Account Manager).

 Requirements and Qualifications

  • 5+ Years of experience on same position or equivalent
  • Experience in Information Technology, specialist technical experience within an IT operational based environment Knowledge/skills:
  • Extensive proven experience in systems, operations and environments of a similar size and complexity
  • Experience of working accurately and confidently with service desk tools and technology, such as ITSM, remote access, knowledge resources
  • Technical & Professional Certifications (MCSE, MCP, ITIL foundation etc.) will be an added advantage.
  • Experience of delivering a high level of technical services.
