Responsibilities 

A great opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join the accounting team of the Company.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Maintain day-to-day accounting of a Group of local and international companies with holding and investment activities
  • Assess transactions of the Group and prepare / update relevant reports to ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements
  • Support the audit process, preparing relevant documentation, liaising with external auditors, and completion of annual statutory audit
  • Monitor and analyze tax and IFRS developments, and inform management about important updates
  • Liaise with local authorities, if needed
  • Produce periodic management accounts in line with the Company's requirements
  • Support management with the preparation of various financial reports
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns to Cyprus authorities
  • Coordinate with other team members regarding accounting, reporting, audit and tax matters

 

Profile of the ideal candidate 

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • ACA / ACCA Qualified
  • Around 3-5 years of post-Qualified experience in a role with similar responsibilities, ideally from within a Family Office, Corporate and Fiduciary Office, Holding, or Investment company
  • Profound knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Good knowledge of the Cyprus Tax legislation and previous experience with Tax and VAT matters will be considered an advantage
  • Good understanding of DAC6 and Transfer Pricing will be considered an advantage
  • Knowledgeable of financial and management reporting
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
  • Motivated and forward-thinking, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to take initiative and deliver results
  • Tech savvy (MS Office). Knowledge of Dynamics365 will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of both Greek and English.

The client

The Architectural Lighting Department of a well established local Retail and Design company.

Responsibilities

A unique opportunity for a professional with Lighting experience to assume responsibility over the efficient management of the company's projects within the state-of-the-art architectural lighting department the Company. Primary duties include advising and guiding the Company’s clientele to ensure their design needs are met, developing new business opportunities, as well as the supervision (when and where required) of projects at construction sites. The successful candidate will report directly to the Department’s General Manager.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Draft lighting studies using AutoCAD and/or Dialux
  • Provide advice and guidance to customers regarding their lighting inquiries and needs. Prepare and deliver offers towards clients.
  • Visit client and/or construction sites to ensure the lighting project is running smoothly
  • Support in business development activities in order to expand the Company’s clientele
  • Conduct an analysis of architectural plans, project plans, studies, and ensure that optimal products are selected
  • Adapt products to architectural plans and support the preparation of presentations towards clients
  • Review architectural plans prepared by the design team, and lead client presentations
  • Collaboration with the Purchasing and Products department, for the collection of product specifications
  • Full cycle monitoring of projects from initial inception to delivery and after sales, ensuring compliance to set project timelines
  • Represent the Department and Company when attending external industry or client events
  • Provide ongoing consulting to the team whilst preparing and delivering project plans
